Is Megan from Equestria Girls?

So in G1 MLP, humans were able to cross into the pony world. Is this the same mechanism in which is happening in G4 Equestria Girls? So would Megan also be from Equestria Girls universe? For those that don't know Megan is the human girl that sort of represents humans in G1 MLP.

Were Scorpan and Tirek originally brothers? I don't remember.

 

 It's possible, sure. But it could also just be that the G4 universe has alternate versions of them. The Smooze is also from G1, but doesn't seem much at all like the G1 version.

There is a Pony called Trixie and another called Machintosh.

I don't watch FiM, but I watched G1 when I was a child. I do occasionally read up on FiM stuff when it involves something related to G1, and I would like to see them use characters like Emperor Grogar and King Lavan. Keeping with the Greek mythology theme of FiM, Lavan could be a Titan and Grogar could possibly have something to do with the Underworld/Tarterus. Hades himself wore a Ram's skin, so there might be a reference there.

Big Macintosh is named after a type of apple though, so it fits with the pony naming theme, which something like Megan doesn't...generally. You are right about Trixie however, and there's also a serpent named Steven, so a pony named Megan isn't too out there.

i don't think so because the g1 humans didn't have purple skin and orange hair, megan was a normal human and the ponies would take her over the rainbow bridge to ponyland

Come to think of it... In the G1 show, the human world was located somewhere within flying distance from Pony Land. Remember when Wind Whistler and North Star flew to the human world to fetch the rainbow locket in the original MLP movie? It took them, what...? A couple of hours tops. Seems like no magic portal was necessary. So I guess the G1's human world and the EqG world are two different things after all :<

Yeah, I don't think Megan's gonna be a part of this world... Remember, G4's a reboot of the entire series. Add to that,someone (I think it was Lauren Faust herself*) said that there weren't going to be humans in the main series, so I don't think it's likely that we'll see Megan again...

I think of what Equestria Girls did regarding a human world existing along with Equestria as a homage to Generation One, but choosing to go in its own direction instead of being a carbon copy idea of what has already existed. As such I doubt Megan would appear any time soon.

Well, Trixie is probably really 'Tricksy', which is a old slang term for being deceptive and a trickster, but I agree that doesn't account for Steven.

 

It would be interesting if the EqG universe was the 'human' one that Megan came from, but it doesn't quite feel right. The naming convention mentioned before, but also the skin colors don't really fit, at least not in my head.
