Well generally you have to have a diverse range of goods and services to be competitive in the market so you're not relying on any one niche group, that's kind of the frame-of-mind for large conglomerate stores these days. Go into most grocery stores and you're bound to find a lot of non-food items; entire electronic, clothing, hardware, gaming, and toy departments.
