Upon the whispering winds of an old plain

A newcomer unicorn has come, not in vain 

Eyes of cyan, fur of pink, you might miss her if you blink 

Do you remember the names of the planets? 

One is her name, she owns a potion shop and ran it 

 Her cat is named after one too, she's all purple and half unicorn, ooh! 

So if you shall ever come across a  potion shop, won't you look and make a stop?

Everlasting from coarse summer sand to soft winter snow.

From the heights of Beijing, to the rivers of Bordeaux.

So lovely, I can cure any and all woe.

So witness me, in my grand Chateau

As I put on a peerless and grand show!

A poetry game?  How wonderfully fun!
I hope you can accept this lowly one,
as this time of the night is one of those
when all I wish to do is to have a doze.
Alas, the moon sings her siren song
and off to work I go, for what seems far too long, 
but for tonight, at least, I can sit and play
and think of my friends along the way.
For now, though, I believe I shall pause
and let someone else take over.  Why?  Just because!

This is silly, just look at the time!

I can't believe you revived this thread from the dead.

There are enough rhymes to make you lose your head!

I'm speaking like the Zebra from the Pony show, but I'm having fun giving it a go.

Friends, I can't believe this thread is so fun, but now I must make haste and run.

Speaking in rhyme is creative and fun!

You can talk about anything under the sun

if you so desire, or just cut and run

and leave the hard rhyming to the next adventurous one.

Poetry comes in all shapes and sizes,

in different names and clever disguises.

If, sometimes, you find yourself stuck

and stumped for a rhyme, just trust on your luck

and do what you can to finish your verse.

It might be better, or it might be much worse,

but, through it all, when the rhyming is done,

you've created something for everyone.

I can't think of a good way to end this rhyme,

so I'll simply say thank you for your time.

"But what should I write about?" I ask with a sigh.

I'm torn in this matter, because I can see

this topic appeals to no one but me.

So I'll post some verses and just bide my time

and see if someone else wishes to speak in rhyme.

Perhaps no one will, and that's okay too.
