Do you wish the mlp franchise was bigger?

Franchises like Final Fantasy, Pokemon, Yugioh, Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball/Z, Star Wars, etc are MASSIVE, and have more avenues of merch, gaming/MMORPGs, movies, and such to cater to their fan base.  Sure, The pony franchise has a card game, products of questionable quality (mostly geared to kids who could care less), a pen and paper tabletop RPG, a Nintendo DS game, a clothing, etc., but they're pretty limited to younger generations, and could still offer so much more in areas of collectables, apps, gaming, and everything.

Do you guys wish that MLP's franchise as a whole would do the same, and become just as big as these heavy hitting franchises; perhaps giving us pony pop-up shops, MMORPGs, Carousel Boutique centers (like Japan's Pokemon centers), anime, inspired bands, and just the notoriety that the big names have?

Well, we're getting a theatrical movie next year, we have the Guardians of Harmony toyline recently released which is something different than the usual toy merch, we have the EQG spin-off series, we have multiple ongoing comic series by IDW...The series has been slowly growing over time. Growth always takes time.

And sure, MLP has been around for a while, but it hasn't really hit the fandom heights of today until recently with Gen 4. It's entirely possible we might see more and more of MLP's expansion during the rest of this generation and possibly the next.

I just wish, they would release different Series with different Art Styles or a Side Show with new Characters. ( like Fear The Walking Dead...no, i dont want the Side Show to be a Horror Series, that was just an example on what kind of Side Series i mean, geez...)

And i would like some Video Games.

But on the other Hand, Mlp is already pretty big, so, im not complaining.

I just hope, that there is gonna be a little more variety later.

Sure.

I think growth is a good thing and I would love to see the franchise and fandom expand. That being said, I do think we are plenty big as is, and if the series ended tomorrow have nothing to hang our heads about. But I think some (Quality) video games or an MMORPG would be great as well as more merchandise designed for a broader range of customers as well as more collectibles.

I do, but as I understand: despite MLP being around for decades and is worldwide known, it hasn't exactly grown. Previously, it was mostly toys, with few and under the radar alt merch that in the end it was to promote the toys. Now, it has comparatively so much official and over the radar stuff that it's hard to keep track on

Sure but I think it's perfect in the sense of scale currently. I don't want it to become over-saturated and omnipresent in which I would feel overwhelmed of. I like the feeling of smaller, less common franchises like MLP:FiM because it gives a sense of community and closeness that feels special.

I do not. You see when a franchise went big, everybody starts to watch it, wich is a good thing, but then the producer have to satisfy everyone and often the show loses its charm. Not necessarily it is true but a lot of show have been victim of their popularity!
Plus I like the fact that we're not so many, it creats a real link between us. If we were millions and millions, well, we won't be so close. Who care if you love GoT per exemple, everybody's already watching. It's too mainstream !

Am I a hipster ?  :-P

I'd still like a good official game or two though  :-P

Not necessarily. It might mean that more people would get interested but it would also bother some people at the same time. Of course people get tired of seeing one certain huge franchise everywhere, so I'm comfortable with the size of the franchise as it is now.  :)
