While that could be possible, given Spike's track record with befriending Thorax, and helping Ember become the new dragon lord, that kinda role of being an ambassador of sorts, would be more fitting with what the show has been doing with Spike lately than with Starlight.

I feel like it would make more sense for her to either move back to her own village and learn lessons of friendship form the Equal 4, or for her to move to the Crystal Empire to perform magical studies with Sunburst, given their history together.

Guess it won't be long till Starlight discovers a new spell, turning her into an Alicorn Princess, and we all get to blame M.A. Larson for this.

After seeing this new trailer, I'm really looking forward to the new season. I'm really curious on where Twilight will send Starlight. Seeing this trailer makes sense when tying into the first trailer. I wonder if we'll get Celestia's perspective on letting Twilight go. It would be interesting to see a flashback of what Celestia went through with that decision.
