should Soaren wind up with Derpy?

i have no idea why people ship him with Rainbow, as its made clear that they'e good friends who have each others' backs. But I think Soaren with Derpy would be ridiculously adorable. Why? Because Soaren was named after Amy Keating Roger's own son, Soren, who has the unfortunate circumstance of battling with a disability. While the pony Soaren might not have such a challenge, him winding up with Derpy, is the sweetest thing I could see for both their characters, and a nod to the Brony community, that it was a subtle reference that Derpy, in spite of being altered in voice and appearance, is still the same ditzy mare we've come to love, and has the support of Soarin/ Soren as well. and while we have seen RD interact with her, and short on patience, Soaren could be the complete opposite, chill and kind to out fandom mascot mare. Do you guys think these two could be a match made in heaven?

Because your reasoning makes zero sense story wise. Besides the fact that Derpy is a background pony, there's almost zero interaction between the two, and pairing them up out of nowhere feels really dumb. And before you say "but Sugar Belle and Big Mac", I felt the same way about those two getting together

This paring is an interesting idea, but to be honest with you I think we are more likely to see Derpy with Dr. Whooves and Soarin with Spitfire.

This is quite an interesting idea. Though I don't know if Soaren would go for a mare like that. I do like the wonder bolts but I feel like they think their just a bit above everypony else in one way or another. Not all of them of course, but I just feel that Soaren would go after a beautiful pony or a fast pony. 

Derpy is not very fast and to most she is not the most beautiful either. But she is awesome!

A mare LIKE WHAT? *glares* just because Derpy isn't fast or "beautiful" (completely subjective, btw) doesn't mean Soaren couldn't go for her. No doubt she has many other qualities to attract him, whether intentionally or unintentionally. Fact is, given their history and concepts, they'd make a cute couple. And Soaran isn't above anyone else, just because he's a Wonderbolt.

It would work if Derpy wasn't just the pony that the fandom loves so much.

I love Redheart, but even i can't think of a way to legit ship her with anybody on the show.

Soarin is a probably the most sane Wonderbolt apart from Rainbow Dash. Not so stuck up and selfish like Spitfire and Fleetfoot. This could work well.
