Why aren't some countries announcing the film?

Did their governments give their citizens no access to the film whatsoever? 'Cause for what I know, Japanese anime films were "banned" in South Korea until about 17 years ago. Unfortunately, MLP: the Movie is definitely not Japanese, yet it still doesn't have a release date in South Korea, or in the Philippines.

What is going on???

I haven't seen it advertised here in Australia yet so it's probably still going to be in cinemas here at some point but it's probably going to be starting on a later date than when it starts screening in the USA. Like it's probably going to start screening here a month or two later as that's been the case with most other US releases here in Australia. :)

Australia already has a release date -- November 2, 2017.

It's pretty much around a month later after the US release date as expected. But still the really strange thing is that they haven't started advertising the movie here in Australia yet. Like I haven't seen it on the pre film ads when I go to see a movie and it's not on TV ads anywhere and it hasn't even been advertised on YouTube yet! But still it might just be too early to start advertising it so advertising here in Australia for the MLP movie will probably start 3-1 months before the release date so they are probably going to start advertising it here sometime next month. :)

Maybe it's because those countries stopped airing the show, and Hasbro simply didn't bother to release the movie to those countries since they assumed that nobody would be interested in it there?

Hope you're right. In some countries, particularly South Korea and the Philippines, films don't usually get an announced release date until about 2 months before theatrical release in those countries.

Besides, it's totally doubtful their governments would ever disallow screening of non-Japanese animated films that are suitable for a family audience.

Because other countries would get it later than the United States would, thus making more sense for them to advertise the film at a later date.

Well I have yet to see a strong advertisement for the pony movie around here in Orlando . Maybe it's just me
