ManaMinori 4,145 July 18, 2017 Share July 18, 2017 (edited) Jousting has always been a full-contact, very dangerous sport, with Jousters also wearing up to 100 lbs of armor, and getting hit with serious amounts of force to points on their person. I only recently learned that just to break a lance tskes 1,800 lbs of force. That's pretty impressive when you consider Fluttershy took part in a match, against the ever-athletic and competitive Rainbow Dash at that, back in The Crystal Empire 2 parter. Really respectable for a pony who used to be afraid of her own shadow. But it also makes one wonder, just how durable are these little ponies? Twilight got slammed into a mountain at full force by Tirek, but Rarity admitted that she nearly didn't make it, when she fell out the sky in "Secret of my Excess". Rainbow Dash survived being catapulted by Applejack into Twilight's tree, but also broke her wing doing stunt tricks in "Read it and Weep". KH7672 1,604 July 19, 2017 Share July 19, 2017 While I don't doubt ponies are bent to the will of cartoon physics, some of the most disfigured moments come from magic being used on them. Starlight's magic is strangely the only thing that's shown any physical effect on them. Discord can remove horns and wings with no pain and Trixie can remove mouths and roll you up into a ball with no more than a "What the?" 1 One of my most ambitious role playing experiences.
