Is Spike a nerd?

Growing up with Twilight, the princess of book stuff, there's no way he can avoid nerd culture. :P That is like me somehow avoiding it despite seeing video games everywhere all my life, just can't happen. XD I really hope we see more to this side of Spike. I personally found Dungeons & Discord to be very disappointing. I want a really fun game night type episode, not one that focuses mostly on Discord doing his random stuff.

Spike is too charming to fit the stereotypical "nerd" archetype. But it's true he's a nerd in the sense of the things he's good at, as @Discordian stated above.

I guess that makes him a nerd in housework, too.

He's kinda your average preteen boy. Sure he plays Ogres and Oubliettes (can't believe I spelled that right on my first try) and reads comics, but I don't think you necessarily need to be a nerd to enjoy those. Consider the fact that when Dungeons and Dragons came out it was the first game of it's kind and was very trendy. Even the high school jocks in the movie "E.T." were playing it in the beginning of the movie. It didn't really become a "nerdy thing" until much later. Reading comics as well was never really a nerdy thing. In the Golden Age of Comics, a lot of kids were reading them, much to the chagrin of their parents. Comics like Batman and Spider-Man were form of childhood rebellion way back in the day.

Well the baby dragon is the same voice actor that did the voice of Terrence from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. Soo IMO both are nerds  even though Terrence is a bully.

Huh... after doing further research, you're right. My bad. I guess the voice of Terrence shares too many similarities with Spike.

So it does surprise me that Tara Strong did the voice XD. Cannot imagine how annoying it was for her to strain her vocal chords doing Terrence. This is a different ball game for her entirely after doing the voice-overs for Bubbles and Timmy Turner.
