gaming Most annoying glitch

Not really annoying, actually its more amusing than anything, but can be very distracting and can get you killed :P. It's when a dead body in Black Ops starts to glitch out like its possessed by demons before spazzing out like the fucking devil is eating its insides and is screwing around with it like a rubber band. Thats some Excorcist shit right there, and it is pretty creepy :(

Any glitch in an online game that dicks use to camp and kill everyone at. That's why I stopped playing First Person Shooters.

I HAD TO FALL TO LOSE IT ALL BUT IN THE END IT DOESN'T EVEN MATTER /WRISTS

Wow, I'm surprised that no one said Maka Wuhu. Not that I don't like that one, I loved it. I was sad that they patched it.

I never had anything like that happen to me. Must have been a one-time glitch. Hopefully you didn't lose too much data though!

Most annoying for me by far is the glitch in Starfox Adventures where Tricky's color palette suddenly envelops the screen so you can't see jack shit. Luckily you can still see your menu so you can save and reset and it'll be fixed but as far as I know there's no rhyme or reason to this glitch, it just happens when it wants to, as long as Tricky is with you that is. It usually hits me at least one playthrough and I bought this game brand new and it's disc is still in fine shape so I don't think it's that. Still, it's annoying when it happens in the middle of a long hallway or something where you have to go back a long ways when you save and quit.

Gotta be the infamous Metroid: Other M door glitch. I myself never triggered it the 2 times I played through the game, but I'm still annoyed as hell that it exists, and I'd be pissed if it happened to me. I hate gamebreaking glitches in general tbh. ~_~

Any glitch that halts the game, can't be fixed, and the only way to get around it is completely restarting the game and losing hours of progress, and even then, it could re-occur. I won't list every example, because I'd probably exceed the character limit and don't want to sit here for eons typing, but you all know what I mean. Points where a door is supposed to open, but it refuses to. Where a key is supposed to drop, and it never does. An event is supposed to trigger an occurrence that never happens, leaving you boned. The worst are ones where it's not obvious it happened, so you overwrite your still-unglitched save file after triggering the glitch, dooming yourself.

TF2, charging up into the castle on degroot keep. now that's annoying

I don't believe that's actually a glitch. The rock is angled in such a way that charge momentum flings you off it. Everything technically functions as normal, even if "normal" is a one-eyed Scottish man with a sword flying over a castle wall. :P

So pretty much the entirety of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas?

I remember when I was small, I got a few horsegames called "the Starshine legacy". I tried to be a little nostalgic and play them on vista...

But on a certain level the horse started to jump crazyhigh. Then it started randomly jumping crazyhigh when you bumbed into something. You had to walk on this large metallic bar (you know, that are on construction sites) and then you had to jump off the horse and click some button, so that the crane moved the bar to the other side. THERE is where it became annoying.

When you tried to get back on the horse, it jumped crazy high...... Into the ocean. First it was fun, but then it started to get annoying - I just couldnt get over the fence in any other way.

Another glitch was in my Harry Potter and the Chamber of secrets for PS1. There are those slides where you have to slide fast enough before the time runs out..

But my Harry started to slide sideways, even tho it shouldn't do that. And it slowed him down and I never got through the level. Annoys me still.

Heh, yeah. And Oblivion. And Skyrim.

Though sometimes those games have hilarious glitches as well. Reassembling gibs for one.

I don't mind the funny ones.

Like a Deathclaw that just suddenly decides to fly into space.

Or a Troll whose body stretches on forever.

I mean the ones like:

I'm "exploring" the wasteland for like 4 hours then I go onto this cliff and get stuck in a rock with no hope of getting out and my last autosave was...4 hours ago.

Or an escort mission where the guy gets stuck and he has to open a door for you and he never moves...ever.

So, throw-your-computer-or-console-out-the-window-in-a-fit-of-rage moments. Why I specifically said "Points where a door is supposed to open, but it refuses to."

Oh, and more rare but still annoying: When a glitch causes a temporary debuff to be permanent.

I found a glitch in Fallout 3 where I could wear EVERY HAT in the game at the same time. Lulz ensued, I still use it.

Also that glitch would be every TF2 players dream.

How exactly did that happen? Was it triggered by something, or just a random glitch that happened on it's own? (not that I'd abuse it for stats, mind you. If I wanted high stats, I'd just tinker with the devconsole)

You saying that about TF2 makes me imagine players wearing hats stacked up so high they clip through ceilings and can be seen anywhere on the map. :P

And yet, people would still wear the hats.

I don't really know how it happened in F3 but it had something to do with the Chinese Stealth Suit from the Anchorage downloadable content.

Most randomest glitch in Metroid Prime 3 Corruption. Was almost done the game because I went to the alien home planet, but had to activate some elevator switch..... which I did, and the elevator didn't work. So the elevator switches were activated, but I accidently saved because I thought I had to go somewhere else. No, I had a glitch, and had to restart the whole game because of that incident. ._.

My experience with Fallout and Elder Scrolls glitches is that they exist but are rare enough that they don't happen to everyone and they don't happen in every playthrough and a lot of them are preventable.

I've never run into a gamebreaking glitch in either Fallout 3 or Oblivion, there was only once that the game kicked me out after a big explosion in Fallout 3 and that's it and it only happened once.
