I guess the blasts are like this and not glass cannon just one trick pony lol if it's on his limbs they are stronger attacks and able to absorb much more damage o3o

If he focuses his fire/darkness on his hands it increases his attack strength and allows him some degree of shielding? I can see it. So you mean him to be an energy bruiser with some projectile attacks as well. Could you have a weakness be that he'd have to protect his torso and head with these enhanced limbs? Kinda like a boxer who puts up his dukes to guard against attacks? A dragon boxer actually sounds kinda sweet now that I think about it.

Lol and believe it or not most of his fighting is boxer based he just implements more but all and all a boxer stance and stuff lol. Um well weakness would be his own power and over estimates himself. He also can snap at a moment's notice and can lead to being bad judgements 

He has others like if poisoned he won't die just pass out for a few hours till it's out of his system depending on how potent so someone could just blow dart his neck and he would be out lol. Another would be he is slow, speedy people would give him trouble, another weakness is his breathe can't be all the time it's limited sorta like he can do it three times a day he is only part dragon so it's only partly there, his dark energy isn't unlimited he can over exert the magic and end up having it back fire on him or just stop all together so just be powerless

I'll think of a few more 

This is him without all the dragon stuff. Also it was around holidays that's why there is a present for his coyote bf
