Season Two

I have almost completed watching season two. I can’t wait for it’s finale, because then I get to watch more right after. Right now I am at episode 23 but I am going to watch it tomorrow.

The season 2 finale is one of my favorites. Season 3 is pretty underlooked for the most part, as it does have some pretty good episodes. Glad your enjoying it so far.

Honestly find S2 kinda overrated, like the good episodes are really good, but the bad episodes are really bad. And on hindsight, the season overall is pretty freaking mixed

Season 2 is my favorite. Very few "meh" episodes that I don't particularly love. And @ultrairongorilla is spot-on. Season 2 ends on an epic note and the following season is pretty underrated. I wouldn't say I particularly like S3, and its finale is quite controversial within the fandom, but the season has some gems.

I'm also  one of the people who enjoyed it. Maybe the episode should have been a two-parter rather than a 22-minute episode that drops such a bombshell in such little time, but I think it's really sweet.

It sounds silly, but I still get all misty eyed and excited watching it.

Season 2 seems to be the most iconic season of the entire show for a lot of people, and while it's not my personal favorite season, I can't deny the massive impact that it left on people, myself included. Season 3 and 6 are probably the most underrated out of the whole show. Season 3 does have some really good episodes in it, with Magical Mystery Cure being my favorite of the season, but I will agree it probably should have been two parts.

Season 2 is my favourite as well. More assured and substantial than season 1, with only a couple major missteps. I wish I could watch it for the first time again. 

I’ve always liked season 3, but that finale just leaves me sour. It’s not great when a show bows out on such a weak note.

S2 finale is one of the strongest episodes of the show. It was in fact, what made me stick with 'em horses

2 definately started and closed strong with some classics peppered throughout. It's my third fav after 7 and 5.

Season 2 was the "real" start of fim. Season 1 was good don't get me wromg, but season 2 was such a vast improvement in almost every way. In my season rankings it is below 7,5, and 4 but above 3,6, and 1. It has some great episodes in it but I still don't think it compares !ugh to my top 3

If I were to rate my favorite seasons from favorite to least favorite I would say. 7, 5, 4, 2, 6, 3, 1. Not to say season 1 is bad at all,  but it does suffer a bit from some early installment weirdness. Season 7 knocks it out of the park and themsome with so many outstanding episodes, like The Perfect Pear, A Royal Problem, Forever Filly, and It isn't the Mane Thing About You.

Yeah, I gotta agree with almost everyone here. As someone who recently binged the first four seasons, Season 2 is my favorite so far. Season 1 was really good, but you can tell they didn't have everything down pat then, so characterization was a little inconsistent (especially when compared to later seasons), and a number of characters didn't really bloom until Season 2 and onward, for example, Spike was a pretty stereotypical boy character in the early parts of S1 and didn't become a more interesting character until Season 2. Season 1 however, has some of the more beautifully animated moments (Owl's Well That Ends Well is such a pretty episode!). The beginning and ending of Season 2 are all some of the most iconic episodes in FIM history, the great episodes are amazing and even the "bad" episodes aren't half bad. In fact, I enjoy some of the "bad" episodes like Dragon Quest. 

Although I could be biased...when I first got into MLP, I watched Season 2 on loop like...5 times? Probably more. Some of the episodes just never get old!

Season 3 isn't a bad season at all, but since it's so small in comparison, the bad or mediocre episodes are hard to overlook. "One Bad Apple", "Keep Calm and Flutter On", "Sleepless in Ponyville", "Wonderbolts Academy" and "Magic Duel" are all really solid episodes, while "Spike At Your Service", "Just for Sidekicks" and "Too Many Pinkie Pies" range from okay to just bad.

Seasons 4, 5 and 6 have all been great so far, especially 6. Haven't watched 7 yet, but from what I heard, I'm excited about it.
