I'm not actually knocking the game itself, I'm knocking the fact that they originally put those as it's tags. Its very unprofessional, and doesn't help the idea that this game isn't a rip off of the Smash series.

Hmm... yeah, you're right. The user on YouTube obviously needs to fix on the tabs. http://mlpforums.com/public/style_emoticons/default/dry.png

Oh, PS All-Stars? It's alright. From what I've seen, it plays sort of like SSB, but it has been copied before, and they were a bit more similar to SSB than All-Stars.

And besides, being a PlayStation fan, it pleases me to see all these series come together the way that Nintendo's did in SSB. I'm really excited to play that game.

That feel when the best trailer of the E3 is fan-made. :(

Seriously, wouldn't that be the best game ever? Please, make it happen Nintendo! I would gladly buy a Wii U just for this game!

I'd personally prefer Nintendo focus on its supposed new 3DS Zelda game rather than split efforts with a remake. The Wii U has some fairly promising titles for its launch. ZombiU and Pikmin 3 especially have my interest. Though I have to admit, the new Paper Mario did disappoint me a bit after it basically nailed any hope I had of it returning to its former style, but I am still hanging onto the hope that it'll be a good game.

this E3`s press confrences were terrible! Microsoft pushed too hard with its mult-media agenda. EA is EA. all my hate for EA. Sony has no new games except for the last of us and beyond 2 souls and new god if war, i guess. and exclusive dlc?! are they that desperate?! Ubisoft was the saving grace of the whole confrence. the host were so bad it was good. tons of new games, and the shining beacon that was watch dogs. and lasty Nintendo. it started out REALLY well but ended on a terrible note. rehash after rehash after rehash. keep milking that cow Nintendo. this really was the most dissapointing E3. im crossing my fingers that next years doesnt suck as hard.

I'm getting more and more worried each year that were heading for another video game crash where people just stop buying games and games stop being made. I've been told it's happened before in the 80's or 90's I think.

I think you're referring to the Video Game Crash of 1983, one of the most massive tragedies in the video game industry. Revenue and sales were so slow and few that it brought the a fatal end to the second generation of video game consoles (1976-1984), which was the time of very famous and historic retro consoles such as the Atari 2600 and the Mattel Intellevision. Possibly the first major successful video game era, it housed many, many famous and best-selling classic games. It all ended with the puncture left by some very infamous games, E.T. and Pac-Man to name a few.

Gaming in general pretty much died from there on. It wasn't until 1985 that Nintendo ultimately saved gaming history with the opening of the third generation with the legendary Nintendo Entertainment System, which was the console of a huge library of historic and iconic games, and was one of the most successful consoles of all time. We pretty much owe gaming today to the NES, it was pretty much the console that saved gaming.

The only reason the Crash of ’83 happened was because we were drowned in crappy and ugly games like E.T. and Pac-Man that were so heavily marketed, yet they sucked so much. A long-going streak of games like that mean lower sales, and in this case dramatically low sales. And the result of that, was the Crash. The one mistake they had was that Atari was keeping the 2600 alive for too long, and they stopped making games for the more-advanced 5200 because apparently people were enjoying the outdated system more. If, say E.T. or Pac-Man were made for the 5200, on a less-glitchy, better-performance system, maybe they would have made up a little bit more than what they were cracked up to be.

In any sense, I highly doubt that any kind of nightmare like that will ever happen in the video game industry again, that was just an unlucky streak of idiotic production of video games that led to a financial hole. Basically, you should only start to worry if you find that any of these games are way, way, WAY too overrated in the media, and suck overall when played (which was the case for the two aforementioned Atari games, two of the worst games of all time). I see no chance, what with the way games are being developed these days, for that to happen.

Wait, you thought this was the most disappointing E3?

You have not seen any of the past year's E3s. Because there are some far worse then this with absolutely nothing of value in them.

Y'know, you can't exactly blame them...

I think they're doing what they think is best, so it should be all good....for now.

Thanks for explaining all that, I didn't know the details of what happened.

BF3 was probably the biggest let down for a lot of people as it was so hyped up so much and then turned out to be nothing like some people expected. I've read on news sites people saying how they will never buy another EA game again but they could just be exaggerating.

Also COD is just milking their franchise dishing out the same game every year and only slightly changing things. When that goes things will either get better or worse in my opinion.

If it was to happen I don't things would be as worse as it was back then as there's now two general gaming audiences (Casual and Hardcore) and for them both to die at the same time would be unlikely.

What, planning on the next handheld? Whats new about that? I believe the Wii U planning started in 2008, not to long after the Wii.

It's not like early console/handheld development is something that's new, it takes a long time to make these things.
