Shining Armor made a quesadilla for Twilight when she was little & while she was eating the cheese got stuck in her mane somehow. 

So, Twilight's mother had to shave Twilight's mane in order to get the cheese off. 

 

PLEASE DON'T TELL TWILIGHT I told you this. It was a VERY EMBARRASSING moment in her life.
