Among my favorite soundtracks from games I played when I was a kid: Pokémon Diamond.

My favorite tracks include: Twinleaf Town, the Elite Four and Champion themes, Route 216's theme, Pokémon League theme (at night), the Battle Zone theme (during the day), and the Canalave City theme.

I played what was probably far too much Red Alert 2 when I was younger. A fair bit of the original Red Alert and Tiberian Sun as well, but RA2 had the most memorable music. Also, honourable mention to Rome Total War:

Participating in this RP can be agonizing sometimes.

RuneScape. The countless hours I spent on that game. My childhood is gone and it all went to that game. Good thing it has amazing music.

Found a better video with music that matched the MIDI sounds I'm used to

Pretty much what Johny @Cash In said. You can't beat the classics! My Nintendo 64 broke few years back and it's been far too long since I last heard those awesome Mario songs.

Other game soundtracks of my childhood and youth are ones from the original Pokemon Blue & Pokemon Stadium. And of course, Halo CE (Marty o'Donnel is a god!)
