Topics unfollowing themselves

Champion RD92

Recommended Posts

The forums keep making me unfollow all the topics I'm following for no reason, and then I have to go and find all the topics I was following and click on "Follow this topic" again...

It's been doing this the past few days and it's getting annoying -__-

I noticed this when I realized I stopped getting notifications for topics I was following, so I looked at them and apparently I wasn't following them anymore, so I followed them again, but then later on, I stopped getting notifications again, so I went back and looked again, and I had to re-follow the topic again...not sure what is causing this but I hope it's something that can be resolved.

I had this problem once (I don't know if I reported it), but it fixed itself after a while.

Also your avatar matches the thread title perfectly.

(edited)

I've had a similar issue, but only with a couple threads.

And when I do click the follow button it doesn't work. :( (Only on those threads)

Maybe a capacity thing?

You can only follow a certain amount of threads?

All the other profile things only allow certain things or certain amount of things to happen at once.

?

Well I'm only following like 4 threads, and I don't see why there should be a limit to the number of threads you can follow...

I've had this going on and off for a while now, but wasn't sure if I was repeatedly forgetting to follow forums, or if it was an actual problem. Another bump for confirmation.

*Goes to look*

All mine that I've ever followed are still being followed. I only watch five topics, four are roleplay related, one is my ask thread. I do think you should look into how many you all are using, maybe which sections are following themselves, etc and see if there are any noticeable patterns, or, if it's just random. Always good to be able to cross things off.

It's still information that needs to be stored server side.

Lines of code stack up surprisingly fast.

I have it set to automagically follow unless I opt not to and no issues.

Maybe every bit of information stacks up and that's the first thing to get affected.

Anyway, you got God-Emperor on the case now, Imma lurk something else.

I know that feel...Every time I post on a thread, it auto-follows that thread for me, but for some reason I never get notifiactions for them. Is this normal?

I'm also not getting notifiactions for threads that I start, idunno why. :/ Also, kinda wish it'd let us choose to follow a topic first, before we make a first post on them.

Anyways, my look on the situation is that it's probably a mere glitch of some sorts...

FYI, there are no limits to how many topics you can follow.

I have the same problem.

I have the problem that I don't get notifications in threads I follow or my own threads :P

To everyone who is experiencing issues with followed topics unfollowing themselves, do any of you use the IPS Communities iOS app? There is apparently a glitch in it that causes you to unfollow any threads that you reply to.

Nope.

But it isn't too much of a problem for me anyway.
