Would MLP be considered 3D and a Musical?

I dunno. It's kinda like a mixed 3d and 2d. which I really love and prefer.

No. there is music but not every scene requires a song, and although there is some 3d animation, it is overwhelmingly 2d.

3D no, but musical, yes.

Some episodes have musical structure, so MLP can be considered a musical, partially. But I wouldn't think of it as 3D since it does not uses threedimensional CGI backgrounds, just some elements (like the Timberwolves. Are they made using cell-shading?)

No, it's 2D, as in the animation creation was made using 2D techniques. Keep in mind 3D animation requires creating a virtual world where 2D is a drawing on a flat surface.

It is sort of a musical, but some episodes lack songs. In general I would still regard it as a musical.

I wouldn't consider it 3D or a musical, it doesn't have that many songs in it.

Not every episode has a song in them.  I’m even sure that there are way more episodes that don’t have a song then ones that do. Should we call the movie a musical?

I think a musical would be cool. Could take the most populat songs from mlp and make a new story. Or maybe make completely new songs. Or yea the movie could be a musical I guess lol

A musical has more songs in them. Take Steven Universe the Movie, which has more songs than talk, and that is not advertised as a musical  It is good though, because the voice actors can sing (compared to MLP)

Yea they would need to hire new singers xP and cut dialogue. I'm thinking of like an actual musical on stage hahah

I mean they made shrek a musical so why not

Haven't seen that movie tbh after the first series of steven universe I stopped watchin lol I liked the lion thingy I guess

some episodes are musicals for sure, "a hearthswarming tale" and "crusaders of the lost mark" comes to mind but not the whole show
