ChB 18,562 August 4, 2018 #2 Share August 4, 2018 Yes, all the websites you mentioned will still be around. The end of the show will not mean the end of fandom websites. In fact, fan content will probably stay prevalent for a very long time. 2 Thanks to @Sparklefan1234 for this awesome sig!

Those three websites will probably evolve and thrive for many generations, while FIM Fiction will only exist for as long as the MLP fandom exists. bronywhocodes 218 August 5, 2018 #9 Share August 5, 2018 Honestly, it really depends. It still seems like this Fandom has a bit of energy left in it so, it most likely will stay around a few years after g4 ends. OR, g5 could have the same kinda following if it isn't complete garbage. Iam 525 August 5, 2018 #12 Share August 5, 2018 As for me, I pinned up to MLP: FiM, because not only I started watching this series from the Season 1, but also for very simple and eye-catching colors and animation, which wouldn't probably appear in G5 and beyond (complex 3d animation? too many contrast colors? losing the golden center?) Jedishy 3,549 August 5, 2018 #16 Share August 5, 2018 The fandom is MLP not MLP G4. So I see no reason for things to end. I mean we have a spot for G1 discussion here. Just look at the Dragon Ball Fanbase essentially before the show got resurrected with BoG and RoF it was basically dead yet the fanbase thrived for all of those years, sites still strong. TL;DR - As long as the show has fans the sites will be around.

Prospekt 11,023 August 5, 2018 #22 Share August 5, 2018 I wouldn't be surprised if at least some G4 fan sites remain active in the age of G5. And even then, if G5 ends up being successful, who's to say there won't be a new generation of fans? There are fandoms out there that haven't seen a new episode or movie released in decades. That hasn't kept people from being interested. I for one am a fan of more than one animated series that ended before I was even born. I've encountered many other people on the internet who are the same way. Fandoms don't go extinct. They may dwindle, but I have never heard of one that died out completely. And if that has ever happened, then it was probably with something very obscure. My Little Pony is not obscure. "Bronies" may not exactly be a mainstream demographic, but there have been people watching the cartoons and buying the merchandise since the mid-1980s. 2 Signature by Kyoshi
