If the Gen 4 ends and the Gen 5 starts, Will you stay as a brony?

To tell you the truth, I am one of those creeps that move between groups depending on popularity and not because of a specific term like Brony.

That means, if Gen 4 ends, and Gen 5 starts, and it is good enough to beat Gen 4 (I doubt it), then the kids of Gen 5 want to be called something that doesn't remind them of Gen 4, like "Gallopper", or "WhateverButNotBrony", and I will simply just slide over to them. Hopefully they won't notice my Gen 4 age, and everything will be creeptastic!

I'm remaining cautiously optimistic until I see an official trailer. "Pony Life" turned out to be better than what I would have expected for what it was, so there's a sporting chance they won't completely screw up G5.

Well, if G5 actually ends up being well made, then I can definitely see myself sticking around. Even if G5 isn't good, I still hope that I will stay in the fandom and just keep my focus on G4. With no more G4 content coming out, it may be a bit tricky, but if the fandom is as fun and engaging as it it now, then I should still be able to keep my interest in it. Plus, I can still continue to theorize about and create my own stories in the fascinating land known as Equestria.

Yes, even I'm not really having that G5 hype. I'm still going to give it try. However G4 fandom will live yet many years for sure. G5 might bring the new generation of fans here but I don't see that as a bad thing at all. There are tons of different Fandoms around the internet ie. The Lion King fandom which is still running strong after 20 years so there's nothing to worry about since G4 only has so much content 

 

G4 RP's, fanart, the memories, FRIENDS and the existing community... they keep any fandom alive basically forever
