I wonder when somepony will tell Twilight

That she seems really tired lately. Throughout every episode of season 8, she seems to have developed lasting bags under her eyes- maybe it's from the overwhelming stress of being a Princess of Friendship, a HeadMare at her school, an adventurer, a friend to 7 other ponies and a dragon, a daughter, sister-in-law, and more, but there's only so much of her to go around. I wonder if any of her friends will say anything to her, because clearly the wear is starting to show.

I suppose all friends are in a state of "I see, but I'm to shy to say". My friend appealed to me, when I was to shy to argue with him (on Discord), with "ad verecundiam". "Ad verecundiam" accords to being to shy to argue with authoricity, maybe that's the reason.

I haven't seen this much at all, so I don't really know what you're talking about. The last Twilight focus episode I saw was "Friendship University," in which she looked fine.

I would argue that others could be tired from the extra school work, but Twilight usually spend her time in the previous seasons locked up in the castle doing nothing. I don't really see how she might be overworking herself

BAH. the evidence is not iron-clad. A line under the eye DOES NOT indicate a lack of sleep. For one, Marks for Effort and Non-Compete Cluase is of her chewing out others, NOT tiredness.

I never said that it was. Moreso- it could also indicate stress due to workload. Either way, the lines under her eyes have been showing up far more in season 8 than in any other season before it. Either way, it would appear to me that Twilight may have too much to handle on her plate.

I don't think anyone will bring this up to Twilight seeing as that is exactly the kind of thing she enjoys doing. Sure, it might affect her health to a degree but she has managed to pull off some impressive miracles whilst still having a lot on her plate.

Don't forget Princess Spike either, an entire episode that had her being tired as a plot point...in Season 5. This is not something that "started" with Season 8, it's just cartoon invulnerability. She will only be weak and tired if the plot of an episode says so.

I don't think these are all meant to indicate exhaustion, and I don't think that's the most reasonable interpretation of that line under her eye. She doesn't behave all that differently. 

I don't actually think being a princess entails very much for her; if anything, she seems to have fewer responsibilities than her friends, as we don't really see her doing much as a princess. 

I wouldn't be surprised if she is indeed, overworking, though, because she takes everything very seriously. If she really does show obvious signs of fatigue, I'd like to think her friends would try to tell her. At the very least, Applejack would.

I find this reaction a bit harsh. It's not that unreasonable to assume Twilight gets less sleep over time. She's combining her princess duties with that of running a school.

It’s always situational, and animators will often use under eye lines to reflect exhaustion, stress, worry, doubt, confusion, or concern. All are emotions that Twilight shows in Season 8.
