"Fourth match, Garnethoof versus Jade," Topaz announced, "Begin!"

Jade didn't bother bowing. This bully deserved no respect.

She kept her mouth shut as well. She didn't want to give him the pleasure of rising to the bait.

 

The moment Topaz announced the start of the match, one of Jade' glowing hooves shot toward Garnethoof's kneecap.

Maybe I made them tangible in order to give you a false sense of security." His horn glowed as he prepared a spell, while getting into a fighting stance.

The red blur switched directions quickly heading towards Cosmic. Then There was Draco infront of the conjurer. He sent a vicious hay maker to Cosmic aiming for the jaw. Frozen, who had seen what was happening, decided to step in to fight. He looked to Cosmic, before quickly flying in to deliver a punch to Snow from behind him. "Don't forget that I'm still here. Cosmic and his constellations aren't the only one's who can fight." Cosmic seeing this had smirked and waited for them to take the bait.

Garnethoof put out his left front hoove and a blue circle expanded around him like a ripple in water, expanding to the full circumphrance of the ring before disappearing. When the glowing aura around Jade's hooves disappeared and all the magical power behind her attack was gone.

Topaz's mic dropped to the ground, cerating loud feedback. She panicked and tried to pick it back up, but her levetation spell wasn't working.

Garnethoof stepped away from Jade and dodged her attack. "Nullification. This is now a no magic zone. You have nothing to attack me with now aside from your puny body, and I'm twice your size!"

She backed away a few paces and raised her head, tapping her chin with her hoof.

"Go ahead then," she dared. "Hit me."

Garnethoof was off balance when his swing missed. The strike to his jaw was harder than he expected Jade could hit, bruising his face and making his mouth bleed.

"Why you little!" He swung at Jade with his left hoof, aiming for her chest.

She saw the strike coming a mile away and twirled around it, planning to use his own momentum against him with a sweeping kick to his right hoof.

The sweeping kick took Garnethoof off balance, but he didn't quite fall over. He spread his stance to keep his balance. Then he bent his hind legs and lunged forward to try and tackle Jade, but when he jumped at her, his chest was exposed.

The hoof struck him in the center of the chest and Garnethoof could hear a faint pop.

"I've heard that sound before!" Topaz announced, "It looks like we have some broken ribs!"

Garnethoof gritted his teeth and swung at Jade's torso with both hooves. His plan was to trap her after she kicked him, but he wasn't expecting her kick to be so powerful.

After dodging his swings, the Earth Pony was easy to knock off balance because he already had both legs out forward. He fell on his knees and curled up to defend his ribs.

"Wait! I- I think you punctured something!" He begged.

Jade halted her assault upon hearing Garnethoof's pleas. She wasn't going to stoop to his level and attack a defenseless pony, but for all she knew, this could just be another underhoofed tactic.

She glared down at him. "Then give up and go get treated."

Garnethoof just needed Jade to step a little closer, and he was more than willing to sacrifice his dignity to do it. 

"Listen, I know you're upset about what happened with Pad, but it was all in the heat of the moment, you know?" He explained. "I dont even remember what happened, really. And I didn't seriously hurt him, I promise!"

She raised an eyebrow, having a feeling of what he was trying to do. Well, two could play at that game.

Eyes and ears peeled, she took a single step closer.

Jade was still dubious. She really didn't believe what Garnethoof was saying, but she'd play his game for now.

She pointed away from the arena. "If you are truly injured, go and get treated. I will not fight a defenceless opponent."

Garnethoof didn't quite get the reaction he wanted, but Jade did look away to point away from the Arena. That was enough for him. He lept up from his huddled position and delivered a swift elbow to Jade's back. He expected that one good strike would be enough to put her down. How tough could a little pegasus be?

Jade looked up to see the elbows coming down on her. She spread her legs and bent them from the impact to soften the blow. She certainly felt the effect, but there was no crack or pop.

She slowly straightened her legs, fighting against the pressure.

Garnethoof blinked in confusion. Jade seemed surprised but not really hurt. That would definitely just piss her off. Without knowing what else to do, he tried swinging at the back of her head.

Jade looked back and saw Garnethoof's swing coming. She ducked her head down, using the lessened pressure to slide under him and try to kick out his hind legs.

The Pegasus swiftly slid under Garnethoof and took out his hind legs. The strike to his ankles was enough to make him grunt in pain as he fell to his knees.
