Jade nodded and followed Tricis to the room, making sure Rose was secure on her back. He was upset at Draco and Frostflame, and they had a lot of explaining to do if she found them again.

Though she was curious; she was aware Tricis possessed incredible knowledge of healing techniques, but why didn't she use any?

The four ponies traveled to the hotel room with Tricis leading the way, when they entered, they saw Snow Frostflame with his prisoner, Frozen, both of them looking battered from a fight. Draco was nowhere to be seen.

Jade entered the hotel room after Tricis, and scowled when she saw Frostflame with his prisoner. She gently set Rose on the bed and walked up to him.

"Where have you been?" she asked, and looked to Frozen. "And who is this?"

As he traveled back to the hotel room with the others, Dynamo had managed to walk. He was still bruised from his opponents, but he was able to walk with help from Tricis' magic support. As the entered the room, he walked over to the available bed and collapsed on the mattress. He sighed as he felt the comforting texture of the mattress. "Usually I can fall asleep in a chair, but this is a close second. Can someone wake me up in the next few days, if that's okay?" He closed his eyes as he knew that resting was important. However, He tried to stay awake as he knew that he had to be healed by Tricis.

Frozen's ears perked as he heard a door being opened. He could see Dynamo and the others entering the room and taking their seats. "I'm guessing this is the rest of the cavalry that you call your team?" He asks, looking to Frostflame, while raising an eyebrow. As he noticed Jade walking up to him, he winced from the shout and scowled at the captain. "I should be asking you the same question. It's pretty rude asking for a name when you, yourself, have not introduced yourself, Miss Captain."

Dynamo opened an eye, before quickly sitting up. He narrowed his eyes and tried to take a defensive stance. "That's Frozen Abyss. That's one of the two, who bullied me when I was younger." He sighed and dropped his stance briefly as he saw Frozen was all tied up. "Well, well, well. Took you long enough to notice that I was here. It seems you've graced me with an audience, Dynamo." The blue unicorn could only roll his eyes at his former bully. "Cut the theatrics, Frozen. You know that was Cosmic's shtick." He paused momentarily. Looking around the room, but was unable to locate the second of the bullying duo. "Speaking of which. Where is that stinking clown anyway? I would have expected that he'd be here with you." The ebony Pegasus scoffed at the question, while trying to shrug his shoulders. Unable to as he was tied up tightly. "Who knows? That's up to Snow to decide on telling you. He was with me, but he's being preoccupied, at the moment. Tell us, Frostflame. Where is Cosmic? Along with your teammate, Draco?"

"You need not worry about who this is, nor what I've been doing... but since you asked, this is Frozen, he's a good friend of mine now, and an adversary to Dynamo... and is very lucky I didn't leave him to die in the forest."

"O'malley is deep within Everfree still dealing with the rest of them. Last I saw him, he was just wrapping things up, critically wounding your... 'friend', maybe even mortally wounded him." Frostflame turns towards Frozen still talking to Dynamo. "We gave them ample time to surrender, but they didn't listen. Depending on how kind Draco is feeling, you may have a few less enemies in this world, Dymano... welcome to the life of a homicidal maniac." Frostflame jokingly says. "As they call people of our profession."

He says, rolling his eyes as he wasn't in the mood for anyone pointing hooves at one another. Frozen sighed as Frostlame went over what had happened. "Like I said, he's more of an acquaintance. Maybe you could say a business partner when it comes to Cosmic." At the mention of less enemies, Frozen gulped in worry. "Oh, please. You aren't going to get rid of us that easily. We may have information of what you might want. Besides, you haven't given me what I want to know, Snow. We've been going in circles ever since we've gotten back to this room."

Frozen looked to the door to see Draco walking into the room. He could see Cosmic being dragged into the room and shook his head. "He is alive. Don't go acting like he's not, O'malley. He knocked himself out and you brought him back. Other than that, you said you wanted to take your time, or however you put it. So, knock it off with your acting." He says, not being amused by Draco's jokes. The neon green unicorn's eyes slowly opened as he tried to gather his bearings. "W-Where am I?" He winced as he still felt pain from his fight earlier. He looked up to see that he was in a hotel room, but he was surrounded by Team Lotus. He jumped up quickly, but he was still hurt and couldn't run that well. He noticed the door was behind him, but he knew he and Frozen were outnumbered. He also noticed his teammate was still tied up on the couch. "It looks like I'm stuck here, so what else is new?" Dynamo noticed Cosmic being dragged in and waking up. "Oh, great. As if I couldn't get more of a headache today." Cosmic turned to the voice and grinned. "Well, look who it is! It's my old favorite punching bag!" Dynamo narrowed his eyes slightly and sighed. "I can't say the feeling is mutual and that it's great to see you, Clown." Cosmic looked over to everyone present and noticed Jade and Rose. "It looks like your team has some interesting teammates. Tell me, is one of the mares your girlfriend? If so, then I feel sorry for them. They could do better, in my opinion." Dynamo blushed at the claim as he closed his eyes. His mane covering his eyes, but the blush ever so present. He then looked up with an annoyed look on his face. "Can you just get to the point, Cosmic? Why are you and Frozen here at this tournament?"

Cosmic'e eyes widened as he saw Draco pull a dagger on the neon green unicorn. "Hey! Hold on a second. Why get rid of us, if you know we have info you may need. The way I see it is that you need us." At the mention of who hired him, he smiled wickedly. "We weren't hired. Our boss is Big Shot. He's our team's manager and one of the big wigs at this tournament. You can ask him and maybe he'll talk. Besides, we both showed up because we wanted revenge!" Dynamo rolled his eyes and shook his head. "Always with your story of revenge. Haven't you grown up yet?" Cosmic narrowed his eyes as he grit his teeth. "Don't you play the fool. We want revenge because you got rid of Cheap Shot!" Dynamo's eyes widened in both surprise and shock. "Wait a minute. Cheap Shot is gone!?" Cosmic could only stomp his hoof to the ground in anger and disgust. "I said don't lie to me! When we heard that he was gone, we all assumed to pin the blame on you!" Dynamo could only narrow his eyes at his old bully. "Okay. First of all, I'm being serious that this is the first time I've heard about this. Second, don't make assumptions, unless you can back up your claim. Third, I can't be the only one that you consider an enemy. There has to be others that you have it out for." Cosmic could only glance to the side as Dynamo had made a point.

"As your team captain," Jade replied, not fazed by this sudden change of tone in Frostflame, "it's my job to worry about what you've been doing. Especially since we were down two fighters. You two are lucky we just barely scraped by that last round." She looked to Draco, then back at Frostflame. "I want to know what was so important that the both of you had to abandon your duty to this team."

She looked to this 'Cosmic' character and her eyes narrowed. It was only the second day and her patience with these misfits was already wearing thin. For a moment she thought about finishing Cosmic and this 'Big Shot' herself and being done with it. She pushed the thoughts back down.

Frozen could only scoff at Draco's remark. "Maybe it's a way to see who will want to eliminate you without batting an eye. You keep acting tough, but just you watch. Say one thing and it will come back to haunt you in the future." He says, a small smirk graced his lips. Cosmic could only nod as he had no choice in the matter. "Well, what is it that you want to know? If there's a question, then I'll see what Frozen and I are capable of telling you." He says, before turning to look to his old adversary. "By the way, how's the old man doing, Kyubiki?" Dynamo could only raise an eyebrow in confusion. "What do you mean, Cosmic? If you're talking about Pinball Wizard, then he's doing fine. The last I heard about him was that he was planning to move to Las Pegasus in the future. It's a shame that he'll be closing up the arcade soon." Cosmic shook his head, before giving a sickening grin. "I don't mean him you fool. I meant the other old man. I heard he had seen better days." The gaming unicorn sat still. His heart stopped momentarily as his blood ran cold. He could only narrow his eyes at Cosmic, before finding the will to speak. "What do you know?"

"I appreciate that you all see so highly of me but I can't see into the future and I didn't know you were going to be ambushed!" Tricis remarked, "This Big Shot character obviously planned that round ahead of time and knew a dozen different ways to cheat. He was probably planning on taking out as many members of this team with mercenaries as he could before the round started. When they saw the two of you in the forest alone, it was just an opportunity."

She looked at cosmic and Frozen. "Is that correct?" She asked, but didn't wait for an answer she already knew.

"I can't believe you ponies are still bickering!" Tricis shouted. She sat Dynamo and Rose down on a couch away from the others and then stood up straight, addressing the room. "You aren't fighting for yourselves, you petulant children! Snow and Draco, I told you that you only had to kill each other if you felt there was no other option. Did either of you honestly believe that there wasn't? Dynamo and Draco almost died today fighting five on three because your new friend has a crap heap for a boss!"

Tricis turned off the hotel TV, which was showing highlights from Dynamo's match against the doctor. Tricis lowered her voice, looking down with her left hoof still on the television. "Draco, Frostflame, I've been yelling at you two because I still believe there's a chance to get through to you. Maybe I'm wrong and there really isn't anything buried under all those layers of crap you hide behind." She somberly walked toward the hotel patio, opening the sliding doors to the outside. "But I'll say again what I've been trying to explain to you. If you don't start acting like a team, Rokata will win. You're not just going to overpower him like you've been doing up until now. You didn't come here as a team but you'll need to become one to face what you're up against." She looked out at the setting sun over the hills and raised one hoof to the sky. "I didn't think I'd have to show you this!"

Her horn glowed and started transferring a stream of energy to the tip of her hoof. She closed her eyes and inhaled for a moment as her power built, then she opened them, revealing that they were glowing white, and let out a loud cry as a massive beam of green magical energy shot from her hoof. The force of the beam caused the room to shake and glasses to fall from the tables inside. The walls on either side of the patio started to chip and crack from the pressure of being so close to the spell. The beam itself was wide enough to completely eclipse Tricis' body and it continued firing for several seconds, filling the room with a green glow. When it ended, Tricis lowered her hoof and a green beam of energy was piercing the clouds. It could have obliterated their hotel room if she aimed it in another direction.

Tricis turned back to everyone in the room, a bead of sweat traveled down her brow as she caught her breath. "I've spent my life training to make up for my mistakes, but even I can't face Rokata and his team. At my age it's impossible. At least now you can know I know what I'm talking about."

Frozen could only nod at Tricis' question. "You got it all correct in one go. True, we were going for a different target." He says, looking to Dynamo, before continuing. "However, we took what we could get. I mean, can you blame us? Two ponies from one team arguing and going to fight to the bitter end. Why wouldn't we want to capitalize on that?" He shook his head as Cosmic could only chuckle. "What do I know? Oh, I'll tell you. I know that it was your fault that your father had passed away. You tried all that you could, but it was to no avail. You let him down and now it will always be your fault!" Dynamo grit his teeth as he shook his head. "You're lying! You don't know anything about me." he looked towards the ground as he knew he was remembering a painful memory. "My father was sick. The doctor's told him that he had cancer and that there was nothing more that they could do. My mother and I did all that we could to help and he was getting better. His treatments helped for about a month, before he slowly deteriorated. He knew his time had come to an end and he just wanted my mom and I to be happy." Cosmic nodded as if judging to see if the gaming unicorn was lying. "I admit that I was sorry for your loss, but you dropped out of the gaming community for quite a while. Turns out that you lost your ways of gaming. We heard sources that you would be at that gaming tournament in Baltimare. The very same tournament that Cheap Shot would be at. Big Shot was going on a business trip, so he decided to accompany his son. Both of them tried to bribe you out of a tournament and would pay you riches beyond your wildest dreams. However, you decided you didn't want that and you chose to fight your own way. You won and then Cheap Shot ends up gone! I don't know how or why, but it's all your fault!"

Dynamo was guided by Tricis over to an available couch. He sat there and assumed that he and Rose would be healed and be away from the arguments. "Listen to me, Cosmic. I admit that I went to Baltimare at that time, but it wasn't to earn glory or a trophy. I didn't even think it was right for me to go to a convention or tournament. When I was old enough to move out on my own, I told my old man he was nothing to me and I left. Parents only hold you back from making the more important decisions in your life. So, why not be rid of them and be where you rightfully belong?" Dynamo shivered in disgust over what he had heard. "That's just sick. You're sick you know that!? At least you should consider yourself lucky that you have a father. I don't and I miss him every day. He was someone who could make you laugh, to give you hope when things were difficult and he had heart." He says, before continuing. "By the way, I can tell you the whole story. I did go to Baltimare, but I went with a friend. I literally showed my friend around the whole city and we then went to the convention. We went through the vendor hall, the gaming rooms and then we went to the tournament. After I won, we left to get food at a restaurant, took the train and left for Ponyville. The only thing Cheap Shot had said that he will get his revenge. Nothing more and nothing less." He panted, feeling winded after going through a lot today. "If you don't believe me, then bring Starlight Glimmer here. She'll shed some light on this whole nonsense that you keep going on about."

Cosmic raised an eyebrow, before erupting into a laughing fit. "You mean to tell me that the student to Princess Twilight is your friend!? Oh, that's too rich. Why would she be friends with you? Are you trying to get onto the side of royalty?" Dynamo was beginning to grow sick and tired of his old bullies. "No, I am not. Starlight and I bumped into each other one day and we became really great friends. When I told her what had happened to my father, she was there for me and had given me hope. I can never thank her enough for what she has done and I know she and I are true friends. Something that you, nor Frozen will ever understand." He says, choosing to ignore his bullies in favor of his teacher. He just hoped that Jade, Rose and Tricis would understand and believe him. As Tricis began to speak, he stayed silent as he knew Tricis was referring to Draco and Frostflame. As he saw the coach fire a beam of energy out on the patio, Dynamo couldn't believe his eyes. He knew that she was strong, but he didn't know it was to this extent. "I know you were training us this morning, but that was awesome!" He says, a look of awe ever present upon his face. Cosmic and Frozen didn't speak. Not because they wanted to, but they were even surprised by what Tricis had done. Pictures had fallen down, glass had shattered and it looked like Tricis wasn't even trying. At the mention of teamwork, Frozen knew that it was time to put his plan into motion. "I wouldn't be too sure of that, Tricis. You focus so much on teamwork, but you should find others that care. You see, Draco and Frostflame betrayed your team. Cosmic and I talked to them and we got them to join our team. Sure, we lost, but still. It seems like you have a couple of traitors on your side. So, why keep preaching when those two will never listen to reason. Sure, the others might have a chance, but you need a full team. Sounds like your in over your heads." Frozen smirked as he knew he had them in the palm of his hoof. 'That's what you call a checkmate.'

Tricis turned back to everyone in the room, a bead of sweat traveled down her brow as she caught her breath. "I've spent my life training to make up for my mistakes, but even I can't face Rokata and his team. At my age it's impossible. At least now you can know I know what I'm talking about."

Jade's eyes widened and her wings spread to keep herself level in the shaking room. She shielded her eyes as the magical blast engulfed the room with a sickly green glow.

When she looked and saw the damage caused by the blast, her jaw opened slightly. "If that power isn't enough, then..."

Her thoughts cleared, she turned to Frostflame and Draco, and humbly bowed her head. "I understand, the situation got out of control. I apologise for my outburst, I am... was, frustrated with the dirty tricks pulled by that last team we were up against."

She looked around the room to her team. "Master Tricis is right; if we want the power to defeat Rokata, we need to pool our strengths and cover our weaknesses. As a team." She looked pointedly at Draco and Frostflame. "If every one of us doesn't work together as one great unit, we may never see our homes again."

Dynamo let the words from Tricis and Jade sink into his mind. He started to remember Selene. He even remembered the pony who had attacked Rose. If those two were at the level that Tricis had described, then he knew that they would be in trouble. "Y-You're right. I don't want to give up just yet. What Master Tricis had said to me this morning was true. I had to find what was important to me and I want to keep fighting to protect what matters." He says, turning his attention to Jade, then to Rose and finally to Tricis. "I know that I may not understand how some ponies act the way they do when it comes to fighting, but we have to act like a team. If we can't, then who will? These next few fights are only going to get worse and worse. We need to shape up, or we can just kiss everything goodbye." He shook his head, before continuing. "That's just something I won't allow. I want to fight for my friends and i want to fight for my team." Cosmic could only shake his head at the talk between the teammates. Feeling almost nauseous as time went by. "You're kidding me, right? Frozen just told you guys that Frostflame and Draco are traitors. Does that not even matter to any of you!?" He asks, a look of disbelief was present on his face.

"We have more pressing matters than amateur assassins," she said, an edge of coldness in her voice. "Scamper back to your boss like the insects you are and tell him you failed. We have matters to take care of that are actually important."
