I'm just curious, is there a reason why the cutie marks are only on one side?

It is a way for them to keep costs down. Hasbro's own requirements to licensees say the mark has to be represented on one side, though some have done it on both over the years.

Oh I see, now that I think about it I'm sure some of my g1 figures had one mark. Thanks for the info.

Most toys do the same thing as a matter of fact
