@Envy

To each their own I suppose. You saw their direct one way and I saw it another. I guess after watching Nintendo's presentations at E3 for the past seventeen years, I've become mixed on their overall approach.

Sigh.

Nothing was even that great for Nintendo's E3 outside of BOTW sequel, Animal Crossing: New Horizons (Yeah, the delay until 3/20/2020 sucks, but I understand that perfection can't be rushed!) and Spyro coming to the Switch.

...As for Smash Ultimate... Really? A "literally who?" character and a character whose franchise was killed off by Microsoft in 2008 with that garbage Nuts and Bolts game over a more relevant character? People like me have been fighting and battling constantly and advocating for Shantae to be inducted as a playable fighter DLC for Smash Ultimate and yet, Nintendo sides with the anti-Shantae trolls and jabroni idiots with nothing better to do than to bully, mock and harass Shantae fans. Yeah, that's gonna come back to bite Nintendo pretty badly. :mlp_wat:

Luigi's Mansion 3? No More Heroes 3? Fire Emblem? Links Awakening? Witcher 3 Switch? Pokemon? Daemon X Machina?

She's already a spirit!

But besides that, Konami has just announced the Turbo Grafx-16 Mini.

"She's a spirit!" Nah, this ain't it, chief.

She needs to be a DLC fighter. Yet all these egotistical, hypocritical, whiny manchildren who wanted Bayo, Banjo, etc. in for Smash DLC (people like that on sites like GameFAQs and Neoseeker) constantly and continue to harass, mock, bully, and otherwise basically make Shantae fans look like something they're not. :mlp_wat: It's absolutely uncalled for and disgusting. In fact, the Fighter's Pass has been a complete joke and a sham so far. None of the characters picked are even worthy of being in there.

That's incredibly unfair to say. You're not entitled to anything. No one is. Sakurai worked his ass off for Smash, even to the point of harming his health because he cares that much, and you're being incredibly ungrateful. Nintendo is not obligated to give anyone anything.

Also what? How do you know they're siding with "trolls"? Nintendo doesn't use neogaf or gamefaqs. And it won't bite them because they've already made a ton from Smash.

It goes the other way: These twat bullies and harassers that treat Shantae fans like shit have no excuse to do so. If anything, Sakurai should be finding a way to deal with these shitheads and doing whatever should be done with these dipshit bullies and such and, in fact, he shouldn't be obligated to do a goddamn thing for them back. It's called common sense, which these anti-Shantae pricks don't have or even understand or even USE.

That literally who character is the main protagonist of Dragon Quest, which is both a highly influential RPG franchise and one of the most scarily popular franchises in Japan, and that it rivals Pokemon and Monster Hunter in terms of popularity over there, and has a lot history with Nintendo. As for Banjo Kazooie, they're one of the biggest bucket list characters among the Smash fanbase, not only were they originally planned for Melee and probably even Smash 64, the Microsoft buyout of Rare made their chances pretty much nearly impossible, yet the demand was still there, and no joke, I saw a lot of reactions to Banjo Kazooie and no joke people were actually crying, including Banjo series composer Grant Kirkope, and seeing Microsoft willing to play ball is a huge deal(especially given that even in that regard, Minecraft Steve seemed more likely). I'm not big on either, but I still think both are good choices in regards to both Nintendo's and gaming's history and Nintendo's fanbase. Shantae is a good choice as I think Indie games getting repped in Smash is a good idea but honestly if that's gonna be your reaction to the reveals, I'm not surprised why people would give you such a hard time

What if we get Isaac from The Binding of Isaac instead of Golden Sun's Isaac?

Also, Arcade1Up is giving us machines for Ninja Turtles, Marvel games, and Star Wars.

As expected, I didn't even have to WATCH this year's E3 to know that it was going to be pretty bad, saved from being absolutely pointless by Nintendo's conference. Sure there was Cyberpunk 2077 (Though I have a little bit of skepticism towards it), and Borderlands 3 stuff (Though I will REFUSE to buy that game until April of next year or whenever it comes out on a platform that isn't the Epic Games Store or console), but that's really it. I couldn't have cared all that much less for every non-Nintendo conference with the sole exception of Microsoft's conference (if only for Borderlands 3 and Cyberpunk 2077). I mean yes, Square Enix's conference had highly anticipated remakes, but really I don't care, it was still a VERY bad conference (though IMO Bethesda's conference was still decidedly worse). In other words, congratulations on the massive waste of half a week of everyone's time, Ubisoft, Bethesda, EA, and Square Enix.

@OctoVeemo20is an obvious troll, and unfortunately a couple of you fell for it. :dry:Congratulations on that shiny Darwin award.

I mean there's absolutely NO possible way you can say Banjo in Smash is a bad thing for Sora or Nintendo objectively. It's had an extremely positive reaction from almost everyone except for trolls who whine and b**** that it wasn't Waluigi or something stupid (which in this case, Shantae, is honestly a pretty moronic thing to fuss about not being in the game over FREAKING Banjo). And not everyone can get what they want. Some people are just more capable of dealing with that fact than other toxic whiny baby trolls.

What about Doom? Also, Cyberpunk looks amazing, I'm ready to see CDPR do it again with another amazing game. They're a great company that pushes quality and is against anti-consumer practices, also GoG is better than steam.

Also, I'm sorry but how was Squeenix's bad?

I've never really cared much about Doom, and I have a very bad feeling about it considering the travesty that was the last DOOM game, and I have zero confidence in Bethesda after 76.

Maybe I should have rescinded that. Most of where I got the news from was very biased against Squeenix apparently. Nonetheless, nothing from their conference really excited me. I mean a Marvel game... Really? Like we've had enough of Marvel in the last decade now we need more of it? :bea: In video game form nonetheless from a developer with little experience with the superhero genre anyways? Not really seeing much potential there. And I've already said how I don't really care much for the new Final Fantasy remakes. If it was a Final Fantasy VI remake I'd maybe give it some attention, but I never really liked VIII because it was WAY too long, and VII never really peaked my interest much, considering it's plastered everywhere almost in FF circles.

What? Doom 2016 was very good, and people loved it.

Critically, yes it got a high score, but from what I've seen around it was a bit controversial to say the least. I see discussions everywhere calling it both good and bad (and not just as a DOOM title, either, but a game in general). Which is rather odd that the Steam scores don't reflect that though.

Nonetheless, even if everyone did like it, that isn't to say I have any trust in this game anyways. Sure Bethesda may just be publishing it, but by this point I have so little faith in Bethesda that, only them having a role in just publishing the next DOOM game is really enough to make me really iffy about it on its own.

There was controversy surrounding the multiplayer and certain MSM outlets said it glorified violence but most Doom fans who played it said it was good.

GoG is better than Steam for games that are free of DRM (Digital Rights Management) tools, but they don't support games that are not DRM free.

Well that's the fault of publishers who like to shove crap like Denuvo in their games.

Nonetheless, it limits their library quite a lot and it makes it very difficult to say it's an objectively and not just morally better choice all-around.

True, but they do have better customer support and quality control. Valve may be nice for allowing a remake of Half Life 1 to be made and sold but they obviously don't care when they allow crap like Hunt Down the Freeman to be sold as well.  Also, a game having denuvo is enough for me to not buy it.

Me? An "obvious troll"? That's gold, thanks for the laugh because literally none of the most modern, newest gamers are gonna even KNOW who Banjo is because he hasn't been on Nintendo hardware since 2000, and, unlike Shantae, a more modern, RELEVANT, character that most Shantae fans like me have been fighting tooth and nail for her to be a DLC fighter, has no popularity among the newer, more modern people who play video games; He's a relic that hasn't had a game on Nintendo hardware in 19 years, whereas Shantae has raced past Banjo; Shit, she's even got popularity in both the West AND Japan, whereas Banjo was long-forgotten after 2008 after his trash-tier game. So no, congratulations to you for getting that golden Darwin award and for proving my point that anti-Shantae elitists with no lives, who are MASSIVE losers in life, are toxic, hypocritical, and harsh towards Shantae fans. You've won that award the second you decided to ping me in a message. :mlp_laugh:

And I thought I was salty when Isaac was Assist Trophy'd. And I mean Super Smash Bros Ultimate literally added the two characters I absolutely despise and never wanted to see in SSB or anywhere (Inklings and Incineroar). That was a bunch of salt for my mind.

I mean, I've never even played a Banjo & Kazooie game (that is strange considering I owned an N64 back in those days), but even I can tell how Banjo is a dream character for so many. A character with origin on Nintendo systems (unlike Cloud and Joker), who just really seems perfectly at home in a Super Smash Bros game.

Nothing against Shantae, but I hardly even know who that character is. Some character from an indie franchise from what I gather. To me, it's neat that she got a spirit in the game and was thus represented at all. What does "fighting tooth and nail" for her as a fighter even mean? Sorry to say, but that sounds incredibly silly to me. At least Shantae isn't in the position my dream character for 17 years (Isaac) is. Shantae is still at least possible. My character isn't. And you don't even see this salt from me. Come on, now.
