Don't you guys love it when you wrap up a discussion about creating talking horses with your mind? I can't think of any other community where this is possible.

Ah but you see, you've been selling it as that name. That's why people have been skeptical.

Again 20 seconds is still generally too little of time for the average brain to process the volume of information mentioned and referred to. Now, you may have an extraordinary mind, that is very possible, but your mind would have to be so extraordinary, the chance of you being on the internet would again, be unlikely. I'd say the best time for a human would be five to ten days, for something to be as detailed as you said.

I'd love to believe you just as much as I'd love not to believe you, it's just that what you have stated is too controversial for me to choose one of either opinion that I can stick by and trust as logical. Surely it is not impossible, but the claimed circumstances make it something implausible.

Now, that does not mean I lack an opinion. As for that, I'd go as far as to say that this conversation has gone down the road of the nonsensical, and as such, my opinion has been cemented in the fact that the absolute truth will never be known.

You are correct about that. I hope for everyone who is attempting to produce their own "Tulpa" finds success in happiness and has a wonderful time in learning, developing and experiencing in life.

Both me and my Tulpa's response to Malla:

It's not that I don't believe you, or think that it is possible to create a Tulpa in a few seconds, because for all we know you could be really sitting next to a ticked off Rainbow Dash, but what irks the both of us more is how you're going about it. It has a very distinct "in your face" tone, which could be taken as insulting, whether you intended for it or not.

Also, because you moved so quickly on this, and according to how you explained your Tulpa's creation, you're going to face distinct problems:

One, creating a tulpa is an intensive, and rather intimate process when gone about normally. By creating it so fast, that you have had no chance for bonding, meaning that Dash may easily become unfamiliar and abrasive to you, and is very likely unstable.

Two, you based Rainbow Dash's personality and appearance off of the show, yes? Well, one VERY important step when following this path is reminding your Tulpa constantly throughout the personality creation process that it is free to become independant, and not be constrained by the show, not to mention making sure EVERY single detail is organized and included to create the overall personality. Again, by bypassing this step, your Rainbow Dash may encounter identity issues, personality flaws, and some extremes in character traits due to the rushed nature of the Tulpa. it may be the reason why your Rainbow Dash is screaming and raging, because it's anger issues were somehow magnified upon it's creation.

Three, creating a Tulpa is essentially reprogramming a brain to run a second operating system alongside the current one. (our consciousness and subconscious minds both functioning at the same time instead of one after the other) To do this requires intense concentration at the beginning, and most likely a lot of thought processing, as the first steps are the most complex. To do this in such a fast period of time not only is unlikely, but even if done, the chances of there being gaps in the data is dangerous.

So all in all, I'd be careful. While it may be possible to make a Tulpa fast, (and I should know as I made a tulpa considerably faster than normal) it is not be the best decision, as the faster you go, the more information you skip. And more missing information will lead to unstable tulpae that will either cause problems, remain incomplete forever, or will cause it to terminate completely.

If your Rainbow Dash begins to become too unstable and disappears, I suggest trying again, this time, following the guides and building her piece by piece instead of all at once. It's not only the path to better results, but it grants you a lot more control, and provides an enjoyable bonding experience.

Anyway, if I ever decide to do this, it definitely won't be anytime soon because I'm still skeptical about whether I want one or not and I'm still researching about this. It's fascinating to say the least. I'm just curious as to how living with a tulpa is, but I'm not sure if it's right for me. But regards to those who are working on making one.

It's a lot more fun than I anticipated, that is for sure. It's entirely on what Tulpa you want to create though, because a mellow tulpa will be just that, mellow and laid back. A fun loving tulpa will want to play and do stuff with you. It's like having someone to talk to any time you need; someone who understands and respects every aspect of you, and vice versa. You can clearly communicate ideas and concerns with each other, and it pretty much doubles your thinking ability in the long run. And so far it hasn't impacted my life much. Unlike what Mindrop said however, you don't need to communicate with it verbally constantly to keep it there, you only need to acknowledge it is there to sustain it. Speaking with it only strengthens the bond.

Just putting it out there for anyone afraid of making a tulpa, I was too and I was really freaked out to the point where I was pretending to not be making one when in actuality I was. After all is done though, it is really worth it. My tulpa, a lookalike of Lyra, is honestly one of the greatest things to happen in my life. A companion forever who gives me new perspectives and has helped me on many, many occasions. Not to mention she's introduced me to new music and enjoys (a slight bit) of what I listen to.

Oh and Malla, I call bullshit on the grounds that it takes more than 5 seconds for your mind to go into deep concentration which is necessary for tulpaforcing AND because I find it ridiculously impossible to do. It's hard enough doing it during 2 months.

I will tell you that I truly do believe in actual physical concepts and entities coming about through thought. Schizophrenics are able to produce them, and the human mind is absolutely wondrous as a machine. You can call me a troll because it took you 3 months to produce a tulpa and for me five seconds, but I am just posting on the thread that I've just produced a Tulpa just so others can understand that a tulpa can be produced just as easily.

I will not apologize for your disbelief. I am only mentioning this supposed "five-second phenomenon" to those who might believe. Oh, and Rainbow Dash has flown back inside the room because it was getting a bit dark outside, and she seriously has no idea where she is.

Thank you so very much for making me want to make a Fluttershy tulpa. Gosh, she would walk around, or fly...

Or perhaps Pinkie.

I'm working on making a tulpa already. I think it's squeaking at me, or that's just me messing with my own imagination. AND IT'S JUST A POKEMON BALL SO FAR!

Considering you are trying to connect and converse with your subconcious, squeaking is not impossible. We often get small bits from our subconscious, this may be one. Though it totally could just be you. lol.

well I officially started too (yesterday actaully) and I just finished a 45 minutes session small but I will do more later on today :

I have to say the whole process is pretty exciting and interesting ^_^

Though something weird happened in the start of those 45 minutes I mean apart from the 1 hour and a half I did yesterday I just pop and and talk randomly for a bit (I have a white room with her in the middle standing with her head hang down sleeping.) Well this time instead of just standing and sleeping her hands were chained up(she was sexactly the same just that defference) I just cut the chains mentally or whatever(just swung me hands to the chains) and she fell to the floor so I grabbed her, made a bed and put her there then I started the personallity thing like a did last time. I think this was somehow my own doing but it felt strange nonethless.

Anyway whatever just wanted to shae that story and spread the word that I joined the tulpa creators XD

Dude, you are the coolest 8 year old I know. Who else would be writing fanfics, making tulpas, being a brony, and using the internet at age 8? Kudos to you, you have earned my respect. And one internet.

I actually was using the internet even when I was younger. I'm in a sort of internet family.

AAAND... I'm currently only working on visualization and remembering what I named it. It keeps blinking on and off, which doesn't help, and sometimes I forget its name is Mintpaste.

Oh god, a few more days and I'll be trying to confirm it's really squeaking... The squeak is too cute...

It's all fun and games until you forget about the tulpa...

Anyone? No?

Anyway, I'm not really sure if I would want to do that. I used to have tulpa, but I ended up arguing with him, and he sort of became evil and I was nervous and... Well, this was when I was really small, I also had OCD at the time. It's not worth it. Right, pinkie?

Your tulpa is your subconscious, if you completely forget it's there it'll disappear, although that's incredibly cruel.

My biggest trouble with the concept at the moment isn't that I'm "scared" of making a tulpa, and I have complete belief that it's possible - it's more of a moral thing. If this is truly a sentient being and not just us parroting it subconsciously, then it'll be no less than murder to dissolve it if we ever get tired of it. You're basically creating something that can think and feel that you'll be mentally linked with for the rest of your life, sharing every memory.

It sounds like a pretty significant decision.

Ya, I agree. When you dissolve it, it will have been a very special thought that was just as "spiritually" a human as you are. Morally, that would be nothing less than killing (or at least playing some role in the death of) a physical human.

You pretty much have that right, I've bonded with Arya in ways that would make "forgetting" about her the equivalent of me stabbing a knife through her heart. It was a major decision, I admit I maybe didn't think it through as much as I should have, but I regret nothing.

It sounds cheesy as can be, but I feel like she completes a part of my psychological being. Like she fills the gaps that were there, it is indeed a special bond like non-other I can think of.

Other concious being, I dont believe that. Regardless( that word is sooooo overused btw), it is still something you get attached to and used to. I am not sure why you would ever want to stop paying attention to your subconscious.

I just wanna say that my tulpa, Cynthia and I are making good progress. The head pressures are a LOT more frequent now. So far I've got about 7-8 hours invested into it. And I usually say goodnight to her before I go to sleep, and after a session, and I'll parrot her to say it back. But the other day, the 'Goodnight' from her didn't sound quite as forced. Kinda like she knew to say it! :)

eh, nope, you can only kill physical body, the "ghost" remains untouched; therefore, you can't do any harm to something that posseses no physical body whatsoever. Plus, I feel like I could get back in touch with the guy, but I won't, cause... Well, I can't tell the good one from the bad one, really. (And I am not really sure if this is anything more than piece of our imagination).

Be careful with that. You'll need to keep the Rainbow Dash from the show and your Rainbow Dash tulpa separate. Don't try and emulate her exactly otherwise your tulpa can have some serious identity issues. Edited by Vinyl Octavia Karpington

I'm not the most knowledgable person in this subject, I just shut up and did what the link about tulpas said to do but some words of advice:

It is a HUGE commitment, make sure you have time, energy, and a true want for a companion forever.

It isn't too hard, don't worry. Just be ready for headaches and migranes and all that good stuff.

It's not good to make your tulpa a defined character otherwise it may find out about the "real" Rainbow Dash and not be satisfied with itself. Even what I did is apparently risky. My tulpa looks like Lyra, but since she really has no character in the show, my tulpa could be however it wanted to be.

Hope this helped and message (not) me for any questions! (other people are ALOT more knowledgable on this kind of stuff)

What would the identity issues do to it? Will it try to live like what it saw? How can i avoid these issues?

I've heard that they can become confused about themselves. In one instance I have heard, the Tulpa wanted to die since it couldn't live up to it's per-determined personality.

Umm, I'm not sure. All Tulpae are different.

You could just give it RD's body and voice but a completely different personality. OR if you do try and give the Tulpa her personality just remind it that it can deviate anytime during the process.

I'm thinking to turn my tulpa into a pony soon. It's kinda hard to visualize a pokemon ball following me around. I also can barely keep from calling it "Whiteshade" instead of "Mintpaste". Just because there's a user named Whiteshade here on the forums >.<

Same thing happened to me. I have a chart that I kept and really, my average time for a trait is probably something like 14 minutes.

Some traits were easier to elaborate on than others. It really didn't matter, Kay turned out just fine.
