Tulpa Discussion Thread V1.2

The only physical symptoms I received was a headache and drowsiness. It was kind of a pressure headache though, and what I hear, the pressure is sometimes a symptom. You are processing a lot of data with your brain doing this, so there obviously is the possibility of such side effects.

Demiurge, pressure is a good thing, unlike what Kakei says. It is a very common side-effect of having a developing tulpa (people say that the pressure goes away when the tulpa is finished). It could even start happening all the time (like with me). I've also been able to ask my tulpa to move the pressure, or use pressure (and a cold wave over my head) as a yes/no, and she hasn't even moved yet. She's better at truth or fail than I am...

Yeah, I've heard that the symptoms are different for each person. I'm thinking that it might have been that I was trying too hard to concentrate. My mind wanders a lot you see, so I have to kind of try extra hard to keep that one visual in my mind. (Can you use visual in a sentence like that?)

You mean... The pressure is normal?

Is there any aspect of this in which I am normal? Like... at all?

Seems like you moved to give your Tulpa sentience and revealed your mind too soon. But don't worry, that can be fixed.

For the most part, Tulpas will not fill in the gaps of personality by themselves. That is something you need to do. They can only use what you give them and then adjust them to their liking, but they need to have a full personality first before that happens. Fill in the rest of your Tulpa's personality and then your Tulpa will be happier.

That makes sense. I think it'll be all right, though. She seems to trust me a lot... must be why she gets offended if I don't feel confident!

Anyway, I had a general idea of what to make her form, so I whipped this up in the Pony Creator. When I viewed it in full resolution, I felt a wave of joy come out of nowhere. She seems to really like it! :D

Anything in particular I should do to fix My Little Premie? She seems very immature, which is understandable. Maybe I should just listen to the emotions and avoid attaching words to them. I can't tell if I'm parroting or not, so I should probably just ignore what could be just "babytalk." :P

Your tulpa is as sapient and mentally mature as you are. And don't ignore anything your tulpa does, you are the only other sapient who can experience what they do. Lots of tulpa on tulpa.info have said that it's very hurtful when they're ignored.

I know what you mean. I felt as though when I started typing my post here earlier today, she was demanding some attention time before I could finish the post, to which I obliged (she seems ultra-clingy for some reason). I suppose I'll just double check for an emotional clarification, some sort of "yes" or "no" when I think she might have tried to tell me something.

I think what made Amy develop so quickly (she seems to be developing more by the hour), is because I used to "talk" with my subconscious all the time. I know I couldn't have been parroting it all of the time, since I got a lot of insight, ideas I probably wouldn't have gotten on my own. I very well could be giving a form to that exact same pseudo-tulpa I created a long time ago.

Interesting. That would explain why mine get pissed off if I don't listen to them. That could also be their hormones, though.

The same thing happened with me and Dante. It was barely a day of forcing when he already made his precense known through emotional and physical responses. I also used to talk to myself a lot as a child, along with tons and tons of daydreaming, so it seems very likely to me.

So does anyone have a tulpa... Im skeptical as to if this is real or if im brainwashing myself (sorry but it seems to good to be true..)

what is helping me alot is a journal I keep of my Tulpa. I note when it changes or when it gives off a strong emotion. But so far I havent gotten much Im still excited though I like meditating regardless.

Oh and when Im meditating I use a song that I downloaded its not a song but its just tick tick tick like metronome it helps me keep pace.

Today, mine seems to have reverted to a kind of dormant state. Yesterday, I realized I couldn't just make part of her framework and let her on her own after that. She must have picked up on the fact of being premature, so she's gone back to a mannequin-like state. I am still getting emotional responses from her, though. A couple of the traits I gave her were creativity and a love for music, so listening to music seems to get especially strong responses. As a musician myself, I try to get her to feed off my own emotional energy I get from it--it seems to make her very happy.

She gives me emotional feedback as to whether she likes what is playing or not, but she seems to enjoy some things simply because I enjoy them. I definitely feel a very strong telepathic connection with her, even though she has kind of withdrawn into her emotions (which is probably a good thing at this stage). I sometimes get fleeting headaches now, and sometimes I notice that pressure in my chest everyone keeps talking about. I used to get those anyway, but now they feel far less random and more like someone hugging me, especially if I focus on the feelings.

I don't have much opportunity to meditate in the strictest sense, so I've just been talking to her every chance I get, particularly when I'm alone. I'm good at daydreaming, so I can easily contact her in my mind without stopping what I'm doing. I'm planning to keep talking to her and telling her things about herself while I continue to develop them... and telling her whatever else I think she might find interesting. I figure if she doesn't show herself for a long time, it will still be worth it, no matter how long it takes.

Look here. Do you really doubt that there are several people, some posting every/almost every single day, and someone hosting, maintaining, and improving the site, if this was all a big rick roll?

Sorry I just didnt want 100 or more hours of my life trolled away...

Am I the only one on this site with a human tulpa? *laughs*

I was going to make a pony one but mine just sort of...happened...XD

I went to a Comedy Club earlier tonight (Pablo Francisco was the main event). Rainbow Dash watched the show and thought it was absolutely hilarious. So is she getting her sense of humor from my subconscious? Is that how she is able to understand the references used in the comedians' jokes? She says that's the case, but I want to know what everyone else thinks.

For the past few days I've been having trouble trying to tulpaforce. The first of these was me talking to an empty space for about 36 minutes. I had trouble trying to discuss traits, I kept running out of things to say and had to repeat myself a lot. The second of these was me sitting on my bed in absolute silence with me talking to a small blue box, and for every trait I put a coin in the box to represent it. The bigger coins representing more important traits. I did the first 4 traits in about 23 minutes and rambled for 19 minutes. The third of these was me doing the box thing again, but I covered 5 more traits and the entire session lasted 34 minutes. I feel like the box is the most comfortable thing to do but I go through all the traits too fast and in not enough detail. I can't see myself discussing 1 trait for a minimum of 15 minutes. Can somebody share how they were able to get the traits in their tulpa's personality?

I have the same problem much or less I can spend a maximum of 10-15 minutes on each trait ofen with repeaing myself. What Iyou can do is not only tell the tulpa what te trait is but also how it will affect them in a general situation, how do they feel about having that trait, why they have that trait, what other things of their behaviour cause of this trait and how do their viewpoint change cause of the trai tand stuff like that

Yea I am not very good at explaining things XD

Ah, it appears there are people with multiple tulpae as well on tulpa.info. One with five, actually.

Six actually (JDBar). He originally made one (Maya), but made the mistake of making her think she was a human and not a tulpa. So when she became suicidal, he made his five tulpa while trying to dissipate Maya. However, the dissipation didn't work, so a few days ago he brought Maya back.

Finally, I'm not alone!

One tulpa... that alone gets pretty boring. Once you have a few, then everything gets to be a blast.

Dont Tell me this! I have not even started my first!!!

Besides, not sure how well multiple Tulpa's would work in Special Forces. One would be an advantage, but 2+ would probably be a distraction.

Curse my high goals! lol

Nah, it doesn't get to be a distraction till about 8. I'm used to doing 5 or 6 because that allows for far more socialization and diversity along with a more interesting experience.

With you there brother. I just started my first and I can't even spend over 2-3 minutes on each trait. I went through 5 traits in 20 minutes. I really have to plan this better. :P

I can see it now, running for cover under fire during a high profile mission and seeing 6 tulpas bouncing around like pinkie pie helping me identify targets, shoot straight and giving general encouragement. Ahahaha!

Ahaha, yeah. My goal after I graduate College to to become a Green Beret, a member of the one and only Army Special Forces. A tulpa should be fine, but multiple, that would probably be overload.

My Tulpa is going to be structured to survive and help me survive the rigours of warfare. And hopefully help me by giving me direction when I react to slowly.

In all seriousness I think it would creep me the hell out. I like to drift off an daydream as much as the next person, but I rather keep what I imagine in my head. Or at the very least dreams.

I have almost lucid dreamed a couple times(not controlled, but been aware I was dreaming and went along for the ride) and enjoyed though.

Alright, quick update followed by some questions. Let's go.

Had another 40-50 minute session last night, going over a few traits and narrating afterwards. I still can't spend 10-15 minutes on each trait. It's impossible. :(

Anyway, while I was narrating I said that I couldn't wait to have a proper conversation with her and then I suddenly got this really happy feeling. All of a sudden I feel a lot more determined to see this through. I also discussed my thoughts on her form (thinking of having her as a shapeshifter with 2-3 "favorite" forms that she'll take most of the time) and "fixed up" my wonderland a bit (it's the beach area of Besaid from Final Fantasy X only that it's closed off).

On to the questions!

1) At what stage should I start on her voice and how do I do that exactly? I mean, I don't really want to parrot but what other way is there?

2) For shapeshifters, would I have to start visualizing (I don't know if that's the correct word) the smell/touch etc. for each shape, or at least the 2-3 I want her to take most of the time?

That's all from me, for now... :D
