How did you find MLP Forums?

Google search

How you became a fan of My Little Pony

I used to watch MLP Tales back in 1994 when it was one of the only cartoons on tv here. I knew it was cool because it required only one boy (not me) to speak up on the bus to school about the show to have the whole bus talk about it in a cool way. But that was back then...

It took me quite a while to find Friendship is Magic though. I did watch one of the Season 1 episodes on Youtube but it I didn't enjoy that episode. Two years later, hearing about Q from Star Trek TNG being in it, it really made me check stuff out on Youtube and everyone was all crazy about the show. I finally caght up to the show when Twilight got wings, which is something I still kinda dislike as it was rushed.

Hi, I'm Splashee. and I'm from Sweden. Hoping to share the joy of the last Season together with friends. Maybe there will be more from the fandom after G4, but still, I want to be here for the ride!

Does Jäg Alskar Sverige mean I love sweden?

That's the title of a German song.

Yes, it does! "Jag älskar Sverige" means exactly I love Sweden.

Hello Splashee and Welcome!

Jag skapade kontot bara för att jag fick ett "ponny återfall" när jag såg en Svensk ponny här!

I hope you find a lot of new friends and a lot of Friendship here.

What does that mean in swedish? It is german for...fuck.

Fick in Swedish means "got". Here is an example:

"Jag fick en ny vän idag"
"I got a new friend today" (I actually got one, hehe).

Now Bas, give me an example of a German.... Maybe that is against the rules, so maybe not :P

I guess few-liners with translation should be OK.

Gibst du mir bitte etwas zu trinken?

Can you give me a drink, please?

Swedish looks so much easier when it comes to directly translating from English (basically every word is in order, and we stole the word drink as well):

Kan du ge mig en drink, snälla?

I recognized the word "bitte". My aunt lived in Germany for my entire life. The word I was thinking about when I saw bitte was "danke schöne". I had to use Google translate to find how to spell that. :P

At least we have the word "du" in common, but it might mean different things. Du = you in Swedish.
