Oh snaps, u use to have abs too?

Are you like a big fitness head?

I was more so looking at myself in the mirror one day like "I always wanted abs, I'm sick of looking like this, time to workout hard af."

And then I got them for the first time, then I lost them, got them again, lost them again, once more, and then once more lost lol

That was all in the last two years. So far this year just been flab with every now and then having some consistency but never reaching peak.

What time do you usually go to work? I'll usually hop on my treadmill for 2 to 4 miles one day and the next day is and an entire weight lifting workout the next. I'll swap from cadio to weights 6 days a week before work and rest on Saturdays. Sometimes both Fridays and Saturdays.

Sorry. I'm just curious.

My old job I had to be physically active and when I first started there I wasn’t I shape at all lol. I started going to the gym and doing fitness workouts everyday and I actually came to love it. Mood wise I felt a lot better. I even got abs and a flat stomach which I never thought I’d get like ever. In my life. I never thought I’d have muscles or anything. I was always made fun of for being physically weak so this was huge for me lol. Then I started to slack off and I lost them after I quit exercising. This past year I started up again hoping to get that back because i missed having that. I also just felt better mentally. But once I changed jobs here a few months ago I stopped and I’ve struggled to start back up….I switched shifts so I went from second shift to first shift and it screwed my sleep up and stuff.

I have to leave my house around seven. I wake up at 5:30. I lay in bed until the last minute then I eat and get ready. I work nine hours at an office job. When I leave work I want to exercise but I’m also so mentally done I end up not doing anything when I get home,.. Prior to this I would exercise everyday. I looked good and I felt good. Now I’m just like a stiff blob lol.

Well that's awesome that you started working out and it all came sort of naturally.

I misspoke a bit in my last message when I said I started working out hard af.

I have always exercises but my diet was the real problem. But was able to get rid of that layer of fat hiding my abs.

Tho I can relate to the switching shifts thing even I never had a major switch shifts it always little things that add up on my end. I switch a shift here so I can go hangout or party etc. And then I do it again and stay up late and then its a downward spiral lol

Yeah it's hard and I also struggled at first with the being mentally done after work thing. My job has no set hours a day and everyday day can be anywhere from 8 to 13 hours, lifting boxes anywhere from 5 oz to 80 pounds all day long. I was determined to get in great shape, so I started of forcing myself to do a mile everyday and a month later 2 miles and then another month later 3 and so on before work since I was too tired after.

But I didn't want to turn into a twig, so I started eating a lot of protein, carbs, and calcium. My metabolism is fast enough to maintain my current weight while eating a large pizza to myself everyday.

Basically I have a great figure without being all that skinny.

People at work tell me I'm stocky and that they wish they had my muscle.

It starts off as a mind over matter thing, but at some point, it does have to become repetition. In other word something you do naturally instead of forcing yourself.

That's just my story of how I successfully accomplished it.

I just throwing out suggestions. Not trying to sale it :squee:

Yeah I mean I’d be happy to just be back exercising again even if I don’t get the abs back lol. I’m just gonna have to force myself when I get home from work.

On topic I’m feeling a bit tired.

Lol a bit annoyed now. I don't need a reminder, and I definitely don't need reminders about multiple things. So multi-faceted...

If I was done.... ugh I hate this prison. I'll never get those years back. I'd have to try so hard to compensate.

Surprised. My lower back is still sore and I'm still tired. I can't believe that the weekend is basically over. Life feels like a blur. We had guests show up 8 hours ago and they have still yet to leave and it's late night. This week I have several things that I need to do as well. It feels like going fast, but it's not. It's like I'm going through the motions.

I'm sorry your back is still sore. It's been that way for a while now from all the posts I've seen. Have you thought about getting that checked out?

As for the life feeling like a blur when you know it isn't. I honestly know how that feels. They say having kids makes life go by in the blink of an eye, but I have no wife, kids or a girlfriend and life still feels like it goes by way to fast lol. Feels like only a couple months go by and poof, the years already over :zipp-wut:.

Are the guest overstaying their welcome? Or was it already planned?

Yeah first it was my right side, but now it's my left side. Then it went away and now it's back. I got a back massage yesterday as well and it felt somewhat better at times today. I also started to ice it and it feels somewhat better. I think I may have it blew it out doing too much exercise without taking a day off for the past few weeks. I think it was with all the stress of everything that has happened here and it may have injured me temporarily. That and my chair isn't that great anymore. I may replace it a little later down the line once things clear up here.

Yeah that's how this year feels like. I can't believe it's almost mid September already. I still can't believe it's going to be a year and a half since I started this management job as well soon. It's freaky thinking about all the stuff I have done since then. Time is just going by. I started to make some new changes and hope that they bear fruit next year.

Since both of my folks are recuperating, we are just having random guests come by and stay until they pretty much are tired. Our guests finally left right now.

Yeah I learned most of my tricks to working out and exercising through youtube, Google, and apps. I did alot of research before starting and the most important part is rest. It's where your body grows and repairs itself. It's important that you get 7 to 8 hours of sleep otherwise your body won't have the time it needs to repair itself and it will take longer.

Well I'm hoping it does bear fruit lol. After I take my vacation trip back to visit family in California this December, I plan on applying for Toyota. If I get hired, I'll be making $20 an hour plus a raise every 6 months. My mom just got a job there. That's how I know already   yes it can be freaky when all you see is time flying by. However I choose not to focus on. The time, but what I do in that time. Things like what did I accomplish? did I spend enough time with my parents or younger brother or my younger sister? Did I live meaningfully this year? If not, how can I improve it? I cherish my immediate family and always find myself wanting to spend time with them, even if it's them conning me into helping them :mlp_yeehaa:, because i know their not going to be around forever. That or I'm not going to be around forever. So I really want to build as many experiences with them as I can and also with all of you guy here.

I may seem a little over the top or hyperactive on here. Maybe even too goofy or silly. But that's because every second I'm choosing to have fun with you all and build those experiences and memories I can look back on fondly

I apologize, i got into a bit of a monolog there lol. But you get the picture. And i hope everyone who sees this does to.

Even if it a little embarrassing to say out in the open:yeahno:

That's what I did, but life happened and I'm taking care of my folks and I'm averaging 4-5 hours at best. Sometimes I can nap for an hour or so which helps. I think it definitely caught up to me.

Nah it's alright buddy. I try to let myself be goofy or silly here as it can be rough IRL over here. I don't want to say that this place grants me escapism from the negative things, but it does grant me some levity at times when I need it. I don't think its embarrassing at all to talk about your feelings. I used to be very scared of talking about my feelings back then, but things changed.

Falcons did good against the Panthers! However, the birds that will make it to the end might be the Eagles, my friend. Though admittedly I am a bit disappointed that Chiefs Kingdom lost by a POINT to the Lions in the season opener. Chiefs got bad luck with several injuries and trades that affected the lineups. Though it's still very early to see the fate of any of the teams. Browns beat the Bengals which was sad to see as I like Joe Burrow. I saw that the 49ers looked good against the Steelers. Ravens looked good against the Texans too. Cowboys went 40-0 against the Giants. I still think that they will make it to playoffs just to lose though XD Tomorrow is Bills vs Jets....lets see if Josh Allen can beat Aaron Rodgers and the Jets(which is still weird for me to say as I'm so used to seeing him with Green Bay). Also shout out to Trevor Lawrence and Jacksonville for the win against the Colts.
