Good evening all you Hazbin/Helluva fans out there. Got a bit more news to get out there if you've not seen.

The summer merch collection is out for preorder until this Sunday (August 31st) featuring a pirate motif.

Next, Helluva has teamed up with the Warner Music Store to create a t-shirt box set featuring the season 1 soundtrack on CD.

A new Kickstarter is going to be launched with a board game based off of Helluva Boss.

And lastly... we got a preview of the upcoming new short, coming on Saturday September 6th.

Don't forget, the remake of the Helluva Boss pilot comes out on September 10th, and the soundtrack comes out that same week.

Helluva Boss is officially on Prime Video as of the middle of last week.

The seasons 1 and 2 soundtracks are out on streaming services (Prime Music, Spotify, etc) as well.

We're about 6 weeks out from the season 2 premiere of Hazbin Hotel.

Preorders for Helluva Boss halloween merch are underway, with the second drop coming on October 15. You can find those on SharkRobot.

A song "Gravity" was released on Friday ahead of the release of season 2 of Hazbin Hotel.

And lastly, a new batch of youtooz merch is coming for Hazbin Hotel, including the Vees and a couple of new plushes.

Season 1 is getting a Blu-ray release, and a few new other merch has dropped for Hazbin.

The first two episodes started out good. I love the song “Gravity” so much. I think the animation is sorts of wonky compared to the first season though.. also I think Sir Pentious backstory was a disappointment since I would think his biggest sin was that he created an warfare’s weapon and carried the guilt for creating something that wasn’t meant to be weaponized in the first place.  Lastly the one scene where it showed Angel being abused and made it to a joke, does NOT sit well for me.

And the fact that the fandom are trying to downplay other’s discomforts towards that scene acting like they’re defending the show, is just ridiculous. After that poison MV, there’s absolutely NOTHING funny about how Val treated Angel.

Before Hazbin Hotel season 2 episodes 5 and 6 drop in a few hours, got one piece of news to get to. The Annual Black Friday sale for Helluva Boss merch is ongoing on SharkRobot, with lots of merch from earlier drops returning and some new designs out as well.

Been watching most of season 2 now, and I gotta say. I'm pretty disappointed. The animation is amazing, the music for the second season rocks (most of it anyways). But the story.....unimaginative. FRIENDS GOOD! WAR BAD! KILLING BAD! ALL MUST BE FRIENDS! Say what you will about MLP FiM, about the whole plot being FRIENDS GOOD! At least the show had enough subplots and additions to keep it interesting. FRIENDS GOOD but also fight and make up. FRIENDS GOOD even if said friends are a child and their parents. FRIENDS GOOD even if said friends are lovers. FRIENDS GOOD even if said friends are long estranged family members that kicked out their own kid for marrying someone the parent doesn't like. And that's just off the top of my head! It was a kids show, but still tried to entertain adults too. it often went rigggggggggggght up to the fence of adult content, never really going over it, but you know the writers had tons of fun dancing on it and painting it, teasing the pg rating "ohhhhhh I'm gonna go over it, I'm gonna go over it! Look at me going over itttt physche!" It challenged both kids and adults, and knew it. And was enjoyable as heck to watch.

HH though, it's an adult cartoon. It's fence was waaaaaaaaaaay out there beyond the open fields. It could go almost anywhere, tackle almost any topic, and thrash the pg system to a point the writers of MLP FiM only dreamt of. Sometimes it had, in the pilot episode. Assault of various forms? Sure. Sex and gore? Eeyup. Adult humour? What else. It was edgy, but still cartoony. It pushed the limits but was still run to watch. it saw the wide open fields, and ran about seeing how expansive it all was, laughing all the way. But season 1 and 2 so far? It acts like it's afraid of the fields to me. Sure it pushes the envelop when it comes to lampooning media and some of it's affects sure. "Trust us with your info! Trust us with your image! Trust us!" I liked it, loved it being the media and comms nerd that I am. But man, how it could have gone FARTHER. Bringing all of Hell together against the Angels? Nah man. Realistically, and it'd add more drama too, Vox could have whiped the demons of hell against each other first, letting Vox get rid of those he didn't like (like how current social media is called out for getting us into opinion silos) THAN he'd whip up his followers against hell. OR he'd try and get Hell's social media into heaven, use trolls of all kinds to split Heaven against itself, push a candidate of his choosing for the new god or something, THAN try to take over Heaven that way. And What about the other knock on effects? Spread of toxic masculinity and extremism? Think of all the show could have done with that? And that's just focusing on the media bit!

Instead, it gets sooo watered down that, while entertaining to watch, it doesn't.....challenge you. You don't think when watching it, before or after, like you did with MLP FiM. You don't see any risks the show makes to keep things interesting, even though the subplots can be interesting if, again, heavily suppressed by FRIENDS GOOD, WAR BAD, KILLING BAD over all idea. It could have done sooo much, commented on sooo much, but doesn't. MLP FiM acted like the fence was just another prop to toy with. Hazbin Hotel merely drove up to the fence, waved, than quickly drove away.

Season 2 has been amazing. Vox supremacy as it should be. Love all the screen time and songs he’s been getting. Not here for my boy Lucifer being done this way tho lol. Leave him alone pls thank you.

Season 2 my biggest worries is… yeah it’s definitely gonna be rushed and Vox character build up will ultimately be flushed down within the last 30 mins. They have 6 episodes to build this up only to have two episodes to pummeled down to waste.. When all that time was wasted for unnecessary things. Example, the hell does he need Charlie to remove herself, kidnapped Angel when he could just use the time how to get to Heaven. He got the half of Hell on his side now, he doesn’t need them anymore. They could’ve use that extra time to show how in the world Vox is gonna get access to Heaven and take over. That was the whole point wasn’t it? Unfortunately the first four episodes could have been used to build to that point.. but instead they decided to go with the annoying loops with Charlie trying to prove media wrong and ended up messing up again over and over. 
 

But I’m gonna trust Vox’s plan for this one maybe he will use Lucifer as a key to heaven? I will let the TV man cook.
 

I feel that Vox as a character and as a villain, there’s a lot more to explore due to the complexity of his character’s traits. Let’s just say after  a lot of hints and patterns..  his character involved with loneliness. I relate to his character and I can see the depth and the potential in Vox’s story under all that performance… which i doubt can be done justice or fully covered within the last two episodes. There’s a leak of his human form so we might get a glimpse of his past life. But I swear if they do not show the human side of him, it would be a huge loss to his character’s perceptiveness. But if they don’t, that’s fine with me. His behavior and personality patterns are enough for me to understand him. He’s one of the characters I can sympathize while liking him as being a full fledged villain.

Sign….not sure what they’re gonna do with him.. either kill him off or redeem him.. both sounds terrible.. but I think having S3 to continue the arc is the most responsible choice to not screw this character up.

The ending.. yeah it’s garbage. They did not just added the “Power of friendship” onto the show..Aside from that, i like Vox even more. I like the songs transitioned from “Brighter” to “Live to live” Not in a literal sense..but the lyric ”Kill to live” a fear of being failure or not good enough, could do some numbers on a person’s mentality. I just wish they would handle his ordeal more maturely.. 

I think the incident with Alastor when he called Vox ‘weak’ mirrored Vox’s father who probably saw him the same way. It triggered him. Just a small headcanon.

I made it close to the end of episode 7, where the scientist guy pretty much said "You did something nice to me and I thought that instantly made us best friends" shtick. With that, and ALLLLL the other WAR BAD, KILLING BAD, FRIENDS GOOD stuff they shove down the viewers throats? I don't know if I wanna see the rest of the season. or the cartoon to be honest. They squandered all the good scenes with Vox, and any potential it had. It became, in my opinion, corporate shlock.

Loved season 2. Enjoyed the ending because now I have a reason to want to watch season 3. I’ve been enjoying the fandom interactions I’ve been having off site in regards to this season as well. VoxCult ate well this season and we’ve all been having a blast talking about it. Now if you’ll excuse me my discord is still probably blowing up with everyone wanting to talk about this lol.

Yeah the idea how weak heaven really is… was a huge disappointment. Vivi did not put any effort on creativity for building power system and the structure for Heaven. Sera or the Voice of God should have easily stopped the explosion, without everyone in Hell gathering in to stop it. That just tells me that the people of hell is stronger than the people in Heaven? Poorly displayed in power right there. They could have work the time to establish and work on the power system instead of being lazy and use the concept “friendship power” to fix problems. The concept “friendships”  realistically does not fix problems or sudden change a person’s heart (Baxter was poorly written to begin with and never use as an essential element anyways). 

I would like to see Val and Velvette actually betraying Vox at the end. For personal gain? Or just plain sick and tired of him? Because let’s be honest with ourselves here. That’s what reality is. People don’t stay friends with you especially the aftereffect  you wanted to blow them up to bits. 

if you haven’t yet, I would suggest watching Helluva Boss. They handles these kind of things more maturely and does not use friendship concept to fix problems.

I do watch Helluva boss actually. Need to get back into it, and I agree. Helluva boss is better written, it should have been given the same treatment HH has, high production value and longer episodes, not HH. Vivi should have had the scientist guy offer to help  Vag and what's her name beat Vox only by asking for something in return, the one self-centered characteristic we've seen pretty much almost all demons not Vag and gf share. And what the hell was Vox thinking, not immediately following up his barrier shattering cannon blast with an invasion? Talk about letting your enemies time to gather their wits and come up with a plan, rather than shock and awe. That's like Hitler bombing France after Busting down the Maginot line, than sitting on his ass thinking "Yeah....all according to plan...yeaaahhhh..."
