I wasn't part of the medical staff that did all the fucked up medication stuff thankfully, I was the domestic side behind the scenes.

But I hated how dehumanizing the place was for the patients, being spoken to like a child and having all autonomy taken from you must suck. And that's the lightest side of it. Too many people got worse afterwards. 

Lot of nasty stuff went down behind those walls that no-one knows about.

Yeah I stayed in a place like that as a teenager for like...a month. It's a pretty horrible experience ngl.

Never riding a bike on a major road/highway without proper equipment. Granted, I've not ridden a bike since 2000/2001 so you could say that this was a permanent deal.

You'd probably be shocked at the amount of other teenagers that were there when I was. Majority of them were there for the same reason I was. Honestly some of the best people I've met in my life.

I'm not surprised, there were a number of (older) teens that I saw as well but they passed through quickly in a few days.

That's pretty much how it was where I went. Garbage staff members but really cool people I wish I was able to have kept in contact with afterwards. But you know how it is. Not allowed to have a pencil or paper in there to get anybody's info.

Yeaaaaaah. No matter what cushy words they use or how much they promote "healing" these places are just glorified prisons designed around control.  Now I'm gonna have to stop as this is skirting close to politics and I will go on a rant about these places and their role in society.

Before i alarm anyone, I used to work for hospital… where mercy death was part of my job for training.. I didn’t take the action but I was here. But it felt like I was part of it. That patient.. unfortunately happened to be my late aunt..So…

Taking a life of a person. Unless if it’s has be the final solution like out of self-defense or if someone I care about is getting hurt.

(hence it was the end of my path towards medical care. People would say why the Navy then? Being a doctor means you would be representing false hope while the patient trust you. I don’t want to stand for that. I want people to trust me not as someone who make promises but someone who will carry out his duties regardless)

Right now I feel like it's dating. Before anyone says anything, I have my reasons and I don't need anyone to tell me what to do with my romantic life. I'm doing just fine being single like I have for most of my life, anyhow. I haven't even been looking for anyone to date so I can't even say I naturally have the interest. Closest I've been to it lately is listening to stories of people I know going on dates.

I would never ever want to run from everything just because a giant problem has arisen. It's not a very good way to deal with problems even if it feels safe at the time.

Okay, look man, disclaimer, I was 16 at the time. I put paper towels inside a hot (475f 246c) oven once because a frozen pizza had fell apart inside it and I was trying to clean it up. Well, you know what happens when paper towels are exposed to temperatures that high? They spontaneously ignite and catch fire. Thankfully the inside of ovens aren’t flammable so nothing burnt except more of the pizza and the paper towels I put in there… Still, very stupid decision and one I will absolutely not make again. I have never put paper towels near anything high temperature since.

A few years ago, I've tried to make hot fudge by microwaving a chocolate bar and it started burning after 20 seconds, it smelled nasty after I opened the microwave. Lesson learned: Never microwave a chocolate bar to make hot fudge out of it.
