gaming Nintendo after the Switch.

As we all know, the Switch is a huge success. But what will Nintendo do afterwards? They're about to be way behind in power with the PS5 and Xbox Series X. Will they just make a more powerful Switch? Will they make a new console entirely? And if they do, will they have another Wii U-level failure on their hands?

What I feel they should do next is make a more standard home console with beefy specs, having a small cartridge slot for full Switch backwards compatibility, if possible. That way the Switch can then continue to be the main point of their handheld market and they can go forward with new hardware for the home console market.

Hopefully they’ll make something with internet that doesn’t require a subscription next time around

I highly doubt that is going to happen. What would be nice is if Nintendo actually put that money to good use and made an online service that is not barebones garbage. I also doubt that happening.

Judging from some of their recent comments, it sounds like they're gonna make a Switch 2 or Super Switch for their next console. Hopefully they can avoid the pratfalls of the Wii U and actually give it a clear cut name like Switch 2 or Super Switch

They are always working on the successor to their current console in secret even when the current console in question is still going strong. It will be interesting to see where they go from here, but there's also that one elephant in the room. Nintendo doesn't like to embrace what have become industry standards so that could be a problem in the future. I attribute that to their stubborn attitude and wanting to maintain whatever traditions they have.

Alot of ppl wonder why nintendo keeps chugging along even tho they are so far behind... and its because of the uniqueness of their choices that keep them going.

Like with how the switch is (I have one and actually enjoy playing the games on the go ) its really changed stuff, then again toward failure part, every console manifacture dont wanna remember their failures.

Nintendo with Virtual Boy and Wii U

Sony with Ps Vita and Ps Classic

Xbox with Kinect and their banning system policies

Sega with how they handled their consoles in the end(tho thats more for the fact both sega japan and america were butting heads, thats another story tho )

All the console creators out there have had ups and downs. And for free multiplayer for consoles... sadly that wont happen ever again, that age is gone. Ya want free multiplayer? Get an gaming pc and steam, cuz consoles arent gonna do it anymore as far as i can tell, its far too profitable and the gaming businesses wont throw that away.

Anyways my thoughts on switch 2/super switch?

If anything they will likely fix the screen and stuff and give it even more battery life... sadly for multiplayer... that wont change. Not unless they rework the switch online system entirely which would cost them a CRAP ton of money, they would have to do things from the ground up for the online aspect of the switch. Which would mean those who do have the regular switch... they would be utterly thrown under the bus cuz the new switch would have the power to actually run the new online while the older switch would not. Forcing the consumer to have to go out and buy new switches again.

Its not good at all if they go down that route, tho ppl will buy it anyways and not think any the wiser.

Anyways thats my tidbit.
