I went and got myself a voice changer so I figured I'd try giving some voices to my characters.

Doesn't wanna play for me. I don't have voice sample ideas for my chars, but of the ones in use, Briar definitely have the smoothest, calmest voice. Last is more straight forward, and with a masculine tone to it. Blitz even as an adult, have a higher pitched, excited tone to her voice. And Brittle is more cautious and plain in her voice, not wanting to stand out.

Disappointing that it's not playing for you, can you download it and try it that way? Maybe your browser can't play m4a files?

Also, I suppose I should clarify that I was referring to my own characters, far be it from me to assign a sound profile to your characters.

Also, the changer I'm using is struggling to get feminine voices to sound right, they come out a bit robotic, so keep that in mind if you ask for a female voice.

I'm going to need to know if Power is successful in his efforts to recreate the matter he was told about. Essentially, is it something that can be made with the resources available on the Project, and was the information he was given correct?

If he is able to create it, what exactly can it be used for in the context of the Project?

He will be successful. On the project, I imagine it can eventually be used to have anti-gravitational generators and ways of flight that do not involve moving parts. Of course to mass produce it, it will take many years, but the concept is there to be used. It will have to be further modified by ponies on their own, but in years, they will be able to have craft similar-ish to the Trade-Walkers. With no wings, or control surfaces, simplifying the constructions of aerial vehicles. Also would serve as a good source for mana-storage.

Being useful for mana storage, you also mentioned that this matter draws energy extra-dimensionally. Could Power use this matter to bolster his own casting potential? Essentially using is as a supplemental generator to the mana he produces on his own?

Yes, it would be useful for that purpose. He would be capable of using to generate more mana for himself - depending on how much of the matter he manages to replicate and use for that task.

That being said, I don't really know where this story should go, since the traders indicated that they shouldn't really go exploring, and given they know this is not their world exploring wouldn't be useful anyway, I don't think that Amber is going to allow anyone to leave the shield and will more than likely just call off the mission to save on resources. Then everyone is just back on the Æther for the rest of the month and I don't think that will be much fun for either of you.

The question then is, what should we do?

I mean, you are assuming everything goes well, and nothing disastrous occurs. Could be the camp got overrun, or some of the mantid creatures were less sincere about things than we assume. It's Prop's world, so they might have nefarious plans for what happens in it. For all we know, some of the creatures the manetid things warned about, is gonna show up and kidnap some folks.

It could also just go back on The Æther, then time skip to when the month have passed, and they land, so that things can be set for the world once left behind. Must be a right mess, judging by how you've mentioned it a few other times.

I didn't have much else planned for this here and just planned for it to be a shorter segment. The trade-walkers were something I thought of on the spot, however, I did find the scene with Spiral and Power User's father to be interesting. I enjoyed the scenes where Spiral challenged his father's logic and I wonder what Power User's recovery of the material the Trade-Walkers will do to Spiral's image as the consul for allowing that transfer to be completed.

Maud's arc in this story has been rather interesting to me. She lost her family to the Spawn, and had a burning hatred of Discord - then focused that hatred to aid the take down of Apollo, but after then, she felt like she didn't have much of a point to her life, if that made sense? She had spent so long actively going against something, and when all was done, she retreated back to her old way of doing things.

Spiral is someone who did a complete 180 of her original intentions. Spiral was based upon the concept of the Elements of Insanity series, "Magic Mare", in which Trixie was possessed and transformed by a malevolent spirit. She learned the value of life and that power isn't worth seeking. Now in her role, she's doing everything she can to counter-act all the bad things she's ever done.

I am fairly satisfied with these character Arcs and am not too sure where I would take them. Thoughts, anyone?

I always think about *What afterwards?*. That's why I set up things with their stories, with all of mine having something to do, after The Æther is technically done with it's semi-exile.

Blitz is a family mare now, and will stay to help the scientific team, along with her husband. She will want to meet her brother again though, and I have thought of how that'd go. Mostly by her asking those going out to give him a message, in case they ran into him. Though if there were a set place The Æther were likely to land, he'd wait there, on the date that the time had passed.

Briar and the few other Evergrown saved, will go on what amounts to a holy journey for them. They will wander with the potentially last remaining seed of their trees, and find a place to plant it. Someplace not infested by antimagic, so the seed can do it's magic, and sprout the tree they need, as well as flourish a large area around it, into a place with vegetation. Though what kind? Depends on where it were from, so could be anything from pine, to jungle. But it will adapt to the area.

Any living creature of higher sentience in the area though, would end up getting transformed into an Evergrown too. It is part of the abundant magic of it, and why it is not a thing they take lightly, to plant. They would want an area close enough to where they could still be near others, to help with vegetation, and have a working relationship with other races in general, but not close to any settlement, for safety reasons. Individuals would ideally be found and asked to be out of range, until things were done. Think a radius of 10km around the central point, in all directions roughly. Potentially more, but I figure going for one of the smaller *growth spouts* might be better, than the original, that had a large desert covered in jungle. That was the first seed though, and far more potent.

I have written Briar for long as being open about things, so he would have told the leadership of The Æther of this a long time ago, so they knew what to expect. The seed is basically a collaboration of powerful chaos and nature magic, so it goes hard. So that's what they'd do, and then there'd be things they would then have to do, and could help with, after that. Regular wood and such could be harvested for lumber and such, for instance. Fruit grown could be eaten, fertile ground spawned be shared for cultivating greens, etc.

Brittle would be set to go out into the world, and look for some of the survivor's enclaves. She'd start wherever she'd be told survivors from Las Pegasus might have gone, seeking a good hive, and her place in the world. Etc. There are things to do, but I always think forth.

So do we want to just jump forward then? Or just bring everyone back onto the Æther for a bit to resolve remaining plot threads before moving into the final section?

I am fine jumping ahead. I think we are at the point in time where we should consider writing some kind of conclusion for this RP, or have some solid basis on where we'd want it to go. Personally, I would be fine with us coming up with a great final send off and scene for it, then perhaps we could do something new. But if either of you want to continue, we can discuss where we want to go with it.

We would need to end this chapter eventually, so if there's nothing to do with the other dimension, they could return and wrap up things before looking ahead.

I'm assuming Light would be put into isolation for a bit, so I'll have those I want to meet him, be around the docking bay when they return. It'll speed things along from my end if it is.

I am in favor of wrapping up the current scene and moving ahead. We could just do it all in our next posts or just skip ahead, I am fine with either. I think that we should consider how we want this Roleplay to end and how we will want to move forward towards that, possibly.
