Did Starlight replace Spike in the later seasons?

My answer, just like in most of these topics, is no. Starlight was an assistant to Twilight the same way Cozy Glow was an assistant to Twilight. Twilight is just a very busy pony who needs a lot of help running a country and a school at the same time and wanted to give Starlight a bigger role as counselor to show that she trusted her. Twilight knows that no one could replace Spike, thus why she chose him as her advisor at the end.

I wouldn’t really say so.  Her role of course became much more prominent than we probably expected but I don’t think she flat-out replaced Spike.  He still was a very important presence and would still get his own episodes every now and then. I also liked Starlight a lot so I never thought that she took over so much that it became annoying. *glares at the Students*

No, not in slightest. Spike and Starlight are two very different characters with different roles and they interact also in their unique way wit the other characters. So I really don't see where Starlight replaced Spike at any point.
