You ever heard of magic workstation?

 

It lets you build decks and play them online against other people. All free, and you have access to all the cards. It's mainly used by people testing decks before they go out and buy the cards.

 

I want to play with real people.

I play Yu-Gi-Oh every now and then via Dueling Network, and I've got a Magic deck, but I'm an ultra-noob.

So thisweekend i will be traveling to a different city to play in the magic world cup qualifier in sydney, will be lots of fun.

 

Side note, on sunday i won a vanguard tornament.

 

So i just got back from sydney, for the MWCQ, i did horribley xD, i played a deck i shouldn't have, i wasn't comfortable with it, and thus is suffered. However at the PTQ, i played a deck i was happyy and comfortable with, in the first 3 rounds i had 19 Miracles cast against me, 19, and two of the decks were mono green GAH. Went 3-3 at the PTQ because luck wasn't on my side this weekend, not at all XD.

Welp, I come from the point of time when kids playing card games stopped being cool so I don't have much experience. I mean, I have millions of gen. 3 Pokemon cards that my friends and I used to play in like 2nd grade but besides that not mcuh else. I wish I could go back to the good ol' days when everyone on the block would have giant Pokemon card tournaments and then go inside and eat snacks and play Pokemon on our Gameboys...

For the WMCQ i ran kessig wolf run, i regret it so much xD, but the deck i wanted to play was a bad meta call.

 

For the PTQ i played the deck i wanted to play, Bant Pod, and i got roflstompped by things that should never happen xD.

Really? Wolf run is a pretty solid deck. But I guess any deck can be bad if you're not used to playing it :/

 

I haven't played pod much, just a few games online, but it was pretty fun

Wolf run is solid, but boring, round one i went against UW control, and he topdecked 3 answers to save him in a row, then blue sun zenith'd me twice for 20, the game went on that long, time was called and he won. Round two i won, then round 3 was esperflare which is just a bad match up, so i couldn't make top 8, then i think i just stopped caring xD.

 

But Pod is a fun deck to play, been playing it since new phyrexia came out.

Flare is a remanimator deck yeah, well UW control gets to 23 mana when your primeval titans get coppied about 3 times by phantasmal images. He would have had more mana, but ghost quater was relevant.

Considering i actually won the avacyn restored and dark ascension prerelease i figure i should give someone else a go...who am i kidding, yeah i'll be at the store itself from 3pm-11am the enxt morning, 2 sealeds and FNM, you?

I am quite angry that Giant Spider was not reprinted, and was seriously considering not buying any packs of m13 ever, only singles of any good stuff I need for T2 (you know, so WotC never gets any of my money for a core set that they so heinously removed the greatest card in existence from). But I'll probably break down and go play some sealed on saturday :/

I know, I think they're making up for black getting pretty much shafted in AVR. Although, I wish the new lili wasn't so bad. Honestly, if her +1 actually put the land into play, she would be so much better. Although, at that point she might be a bit OP, but hey, she's a planeswalker.

I question how well MBC will work without doom blade or go for the throat, but hey, we still have victim of the night, I guess. Also, loving trading post and the door reprint. I am so building around door to nothingness again

Using which system, is what i was saying, or did you mean over skype or something? Cos if it's skype i'd love to but i'd have to wait until my bandwidth restores itself

Liliana is eh, but she's also a clue for shocklands

 

Many other clues include, reprinting farseek over rampant growth, arbor elf over llanower elf, if they don't print them in some sort of form WoTC are just being trolls.

 

Also the new ajani needs something to go with, the best thing he goes with atm is geist of sain thraft, he's a bit of an odd card TBH

When I was younger I collected pokemon cards and built decks with them but never played with anyone. Yu-gi-oh was kind of a passing phase as the only people I knew who played had access to the best cards and made the game unenjoyable to say the least. MTG is my latest tcg obsession, however I mainly collect white spells and artifacts and give the rest to my friends.
