While I don't think the movie is fantastic or anything, I did enjoy it and I'm impressed that the fandom managed to propel it to number one (which can't have been an easy feat).  Moreover, the implication that our fandom is alive and thriving makes this news all the more amazing!

Very happy to see it. Imalou is definitely excited about it too, as the designer of Izzy and Sunny I'm so happy for her that everyone has loved it.

I would say we had a part in propelling it to number one, but to be fair, it's a brand new generation of a very popular long established franchise so I'm sure a ton of parents and kids are also running the numbers up lol. I really hope this convinces 'em to keep going with more seasons than planned, but long way til we get there.

They used a point system to determine it, so the viewer count wasn't determined, but if it's the most popular movie on a renowned platform like Netflix worldwide, then surely, it must have a lot of viewers.

For some reason I'm imagining a Brony convention in a cemetery now.  That would be...interesting.  On the plus side it would probably be easier to get from the vendor hall to the space where a certain panel is being held and vice versa, even with being respectful of the dead by not stepping on their graves if at all possible.

To me "#1 on (x) Platform!" carries the same weight as "New York Times #1 Best Seller" when compared to, say, "50 million seen it".

Do you know what's amazing though? The fact that the very first scene in the movie has the Mane Six in it so that means that even if people stopped it halfway through, everyone of those people saw that scene and got to see something from G4.
