Who will return for the series?

The G5 movie had some relatively big names in the cast. Who do you think will reprise their roles in the series proper?

Kimiko Glenn is the only one I could realistically see returning to voice Izzy Moonbow in the new series, TBH.

It would be pretty jarring if they have the original actors in the other specials only to replace them with sound-alike's in the Gen 5 series.

Though all of the actors have done stuff for TV shows, I'd only put money on Kimiko Glenn returning as Izzy. Not just because she's the most familiar with playing characters in today's kids shows, but also because Izzy is the most popular main character by far, anyone can see with her wiping the floor with everyone no matter what poll you're looking at.

That's the million dollar question right now. Like Sparklefan and CloudMistDragon said, Kimiko Glenn is a safe bet, but the others are still very up in the air.  I won't lie, I'm very curious on whether they'll buckle down and stick with the movie cast, or end up switching it up.

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.

Kimiko Glenn seems to be the one who does voiceovers the most, and with Silly Izzy’s popularity, she seems a likely bet. Of course Phill Lamarr, as he’s a voice over big shot himself

I believe this as well.

The other ones are a little too expensive to keep for a TV series.

That depends on whether Hasbro is willing to shell out the money in order to pay for these celebrities. Phil LaMarr should actually be easy enough to bring back but the rest may be too much for the company to want to purchase their services. Then again, they might surprise us and bring them all back without issue.

All of them are cheaper in the long run than Tara Strong, and you know how long she was Twilight.

I saw her in a movie once... Was it Sabrina Down Under or something? She's a dedicated voice actor for cartoons. That means she is paid, but she needs to have a living you know?

Compare that to the voice actors for the G5 Movie, look up what they do, what productions they associate themselves with. It is clear that they cost more, do more, demand more. Take Michael McKean... He was a main character for Better Call Saul for 2 Seasons. He was the co-star for the movie Short Circuit 2 (1988). He's not going to come back to a TV-series just like Tempest's voice actor never came back. These actors have standards, and only accept when gracefully paid.

I don't understand what that has to do with anything, you seem to forget the part where professional voice actors are paid per word count, different to celebrities who get just a one-time payment for appearance, and Tara Strong is hailed the most-earning voice actress for a reason and it ain't because she works more than others. If you followed Hasbro's investor calls you would also know that her high price was also the reason why Twilight Sparkle appeared less with each new season, the G5 voice actors cost peanuts in comparison to Tara Strong's ~150USD for a sentence of 4 words. Sure, the cast of the new mane5 isn't nobodies, but they pale in comparison to all the gigs she had so far. Plus considering Hasbro can afford them for talking toys, having them in the series should be no issue budget-wise.
