Aww, really cute! However, the cutie mark looks like an upside down muffin, with the cloud being so dark... I will have go design something prettier eventually.

Dear People!! For those who are participating on the race, you can send me a PM to get a Run Cycle Gif of your OC like this for free!! That way we can decorate the thread with your awesome OCs in action running to win!

Keep in mind am not able to make large ponies and non ponies atm

I would love one even though Not Amethyst/Diamond Dazzle isn't my OC! She's a canon background character (Ignore the circle, that was supposed to be for a funny)

Hey, everyone! I'm really sorry on my absence as I was away today, but I shall be making my post soon to announce the start of the race. However, I wanted to remind everyone that once the race begins, you'll be able to roll the dice to see how many leaves that you knock down. Along with how many steps that you run.

The same dice that was used in the World Cup will be used here. Here is a link to be able to access the dice.

https://rolladie.net/#!numbers=1&high=20&length=1&sets=&addfilters=&last_roll_only=false&totals_only=false

A D20 will be used, but can be split into two dice. For example, if you wanted to run more steps and knock down a few leaves, you could use a D12 for the steps and a D8 for the leaves, or vice versa. You could even use the D20 to decide for either the steps or the leaves. The choice is entirely up to you on how you. :)

As for the step count, I think 500 steps will be a good number to reach. There will be no limit to the number of leaves to be reached as the goal of The Running of the Leaves is to make the leaves fall. So, I think a number count wouldn't work in this scenario for the leaves.

As for the posts, everyone is required to make one post that involves the roll of your steps and leaves. This way, everyone won't feel lost or fall behind when they are taking part in the race. If you are lost or feel confused, please don't hesitate to ask me or someone that you're running along with.

Thanks!!!!

I am being helped, little by little. I am mostly out of my dark place. I am halfway in the light. My pony friends accept me and they are teaching me things I need to know. This place I am in, part light part dark. I am in between.

@ThatFestivePone @Lucky Fire You have to roll a virtual dice that you can access via the link that @Dynamo Pad gave in his last post! The dice will tell you how many steps you're able to do, during each turns. You can also decide to knock leaves but Dyny said that it won't count. Each turns, you'll have to roll dice 20 but you can split it as you want! You can roll two dices with 10 on each, in order to us one dice to knock leaves and another to run. You could also just use a 20 dice to only run and nit knock leaves at all! :fluttershy:

Warning: my answer is a mathematical analysis of the situation, and doesn't really help the reader with figuring out how the RP works. Read at your own risk.

Spoiler

Actually it is profitable to split the dice, because for a D20 the expected value is 10.5, and for any two dice that sum up to 20, the expected value is 11. That's because with a D20, the least you can get is 1, and for two dice it's 2, if you're unlucky enough to get a 1 on both. The distribution is different in these two cases as well, but it doesn't really affect the expected value. It only makes the extreme values (both high and low) less probable, and values close to the average more probable with two dice.

Of course by "expected value" I mean the sum of steps and leaves you get, which may or may not be your true goal, depending on how this RP actually works, which I'm still not sure about.

i know what a D20 is, i am a mod for a D&D player, but i know nothing about D&D  i just didn't understand what was being said. so rolls equals steps. got it. that's all i have to worry about?

Yep! Roleplay events are never too complexe to understand! You don't need an extended knowledge to play! It's just fun and the winner doesn't matter! :izzy-shine:

@ThatFestivePone @Lucky Fire

What @Shiny Silvermoon and @Silly Druid is exactly correct.

When you click on the link, you can set it to a 20 sided dice. That, or if you wish to roll a higher dice for steps and a lower dice for leaves, then you can say do a 12 sided dice for steps and an 8 sided dice for steps. It mostly depends on which you'd like to roll more towards.

Everyone will be required to make one post a day, adding a picture of their dice rolls. After that, if you still wish to interact with everyone, you are more than welcome to do so, but there will be no dice rolls after the first required post. Each day will be the same idea, so that nobody will feel far behind or lost when posting.

Eeyup on the rolls. When rolling the dice, one roll will equal steps and the other roll will equal the number of leaves that you knock down as you run. :)

I roll D9 and so i'm dice at nine

I don't think I've ever seen a D9 kind of dice before, but if you do that, then you can try to use the other dice, or an 11 sided dice to roll for the other option that you choose in regards to steps and leaves.
