post-3596-0-82664900-1339788733.jpgI've been REALLY excited about Dia de Muertos (even though we're in the middle of June and it's not until November  ) . I'll save you all the explanations and put the picture here :3 It's Rosemead dressed as La Catrina (which is the mockful "personification" of death). I have to admit La Catrina os gorgeous in her own way XD The whole day is awesome, and it's my favorite holiday <3 I wish we celebrated it as big as central and southern parts of Mexico.

Took me 1.5 hours to make. Badly taken by my Fujifilm camera. Still needs coloring. Not gonna do it.

Never.

I can't wait either :)

It's going to be a sad day for me, though. It will be the second year I can't celebrate it with my family in Mexico :( Every 1st of November since I was a year old, my family and I visited my deceased grandfather. We also used to set up an altar de muertos for him in my grandma's house. I remember my mom used to give a sugar skull to each of us kids, but we never ate them. The ants did, though  And we held up a small ceremony in my grandma's house. My old school sets up a big altar in the main hallway. I remember they made the altar huge and everyone stared at it while walking down the hallway xD

I got a bit off topic, didn't I? ._."

I love the drawing, it's amazing :D I'm looking forward to seeing more of your art ;)

Nah, I like to know about others' experiences :3 How fun~! It's been 2 years since I've not celebrated it with my family either X_x we would go to the cementary and visit our many many many relatives buried there, and the whole place is filled with flowers, ppl, food, churros, food, and churros x3 and flowers. It's so lovely.

Thank you, btw :3 I'm glad you liked it~ And it's also great to get to know a fellow close to my culture~
