I have seen fan drawings of what they might look like as guys(Rule 6 something stuff) And i just think it is horrible. So no! You know, the sexism episode. Because everyone knows how men run Equestria. *Heavy sarcasm* All in all, I think it's interesting to see genderswaps. I don't tihnk the whole show should get swapped, but maybe one episode where they walk in someone else's horseshoes, and get a broader understanding of their world. Something cheesy like that. (Rowdies) It might make for an interesting episode -- Like the fan-based episode with Fionna the Human and Cake the Cat from Adventure Time (as opposed to Finn the Human and Jake the Dog). ... Would it be an episode aimed at getting more bronies from a younger, male audience? (Assuming it just follows the lives of the male Mane 6 in a different universe) It could just be mud and fighting. Overall, I don't think the show would be the same as it is now, if the show had started with them as boys, from the beginning. If you look at the more popular and 'accepted' interpretations of the Mane Six as colts, like the image above, (Dusk Shine, Applejack, Rainbow Blitz, Elusive, Bubble Berry and Butterscotch, accordingly), you'll begin to realize that the only reason they're the way they are, is because the fandom has been able to create them off of the Mane Six as girls. If there had never been a female Mane Six, and they'd been boys from the very beginning, we may in fact have seen slight to moderate differences in how the Colt Mane Six are depicted, since they wouldn't have been based off anything. TL;DR: The Mane Six as boys, in my opinion, works well because of Rule 63; something that may not have been as good, if the ponies had been boys from the start. It's to that end why I think having a singular episode in some season some day where the Main Six have a crazy inter-dimensional encounter with themselves as boys would be great, because they're being based off the already existing Mane Six. Which is kinda why i was grappling over what the Season 3 Episode 3 was going to be instead of Pinkie clones it should've been the Colt 6 . (Although im not complaining) I would like to see an episode of the genderswapped mane 6 but i do think the maine characters work better as girls. Yeah, that would happen. Perhaps it would go down all in one second. So I don't think it would make a good show. But fanfics about the gender meeting the other are pretty good. Hello.
