Through my life,

I have been faced with problems.

 

Time and time again I have been forced to frown,

time and time again I have been made to cry.

 

I began to believe that I would be alone in this world,

to be sad the rest of my life.

 

And then I met the person who made my life whole,

even if we weren't together.

 

I wouldn't ever force her to do anything,

as I am happy where I am at.

 

She already makes my days lovely,

and my nights safe.

 

I almost fall asleep to her voice every night,

as her sweet pitch luls me to sleep.

 

My life will never be the same since I have met her,

and I never want to be without her again.

 

For she is the reason I face the day with the smile,

and the reasons monsters won't touch me at night.

 

Her name is Lexa,

and she is the reason I smile.
