Chigens and Kay 3,832 June 23, 2012 Share June 23, 2012 twilight is too dark Alright. The rest of them look fine though. At least you can tell what character they are and are at least somewhat show accurate. They're not SO HORRIBLE that like, they aren't worth buying... Apple Bloom 2,933 June 23, 2012 Share June 23, 2012 Yes, but little girls don't have money versus us, and parent's are only so willing. I think it all comes down to the fact that "My Little Pony" is primarily a toy line for little girls. It always has been and it probably always will be. They're trying to market to us with the (yet to be released) Toys R Us exclusive "Favorites Collection" but I think they're keeping with the same style to both save money on manufacturing costs and keep it appealing for little girls. They're trying to strike a balance and please both demographics but it's not an easy thing to do. 1 Signature by @Nico. Come join us for movies and more! False Perception 482 June 23, 2012 Share June 23, 2012 And Hasbro still isn't an extraordinary company and I doubt they can pull it off without a hitch. Gingerpotato 889 June 23, 2012 Share June 23, 2012 Meh, I have no real quarrels against them. Hasbro may know of the brony fandom but that doesn't stop the fact that this is till supposed to be a show for little girls and as such we can't really expect anything more then what they have produced. Quite frankly, they really aren't as girly and froo-froo as they could have been. I wouldn't go out and buy them but I wouldn't exactly decline one if it was handed to me simply because they could be so much worse.

Inky Milk 78 June 23, 2012 Share June 23, 2012 (edited) If you don't like them, then don't buy them. I don't know what sitting around and bitching about it is going to accomplish. Hasbro is company and no matter what your arguement, they're going to continue their business in however they see fit. I don't see millions of little girls begging and hoping for a Derpy or a Vinyl Scratch brushable, yet Hasbro is sticking them out there, so it's pretty rude to pretend the company is ignoring it's weirder, not-so-targeted audience. Anyway, I like them. Have 7 of my own with 2 more on the way and plans for a few more. No one's forcing me or anyone else to buy them. We're just debating on who Hasbro is catering too and who will they cater too in the future, as well as quality of current toys and possibilities of affordable plushies. MY 500TH POST! Yayz. Ezynell 2,037 June 24, 2012 Share June 24, 2012 The brushables only look decent when you go through a fan made tutorial on how to make the manes show quality. 2 GAK
Raiyny Day 71 June 25, 2012 Share June 25, 2012 I love the brushables... probably because they don't look like the characters at all, then you get to personally create them however you like. But it would be cool if they made some exactly like the main cast, cutie mark on both sides of course :3 -Insert some funny line or quote here-
sleepyhead. 174 June 29, 2012 Share June 29, 2012 I kinda like the brushables. : I love styling their hair and junk since i was in hairstyling this year (so i apply some of what i learned). I like the tutorials on how to style their hair so they look more like the mane 6 and such. It's fun. However, it would be rad if they made some of the show characters into brushables. I would love a Trixie brushable. =o I like dollies.

AJTheFilly 10 December 22, 2012 Share December 22, 2012 The brushables only look decent when you go through a fan made tutorial on how to make the manes show quality. I agree. They aren't that bad, in my opinion. I'd say if they must have the terrible hair, at least have it look show accurate in the package so collectors can just keep them in there without having to go through re-styling the hair. I'm trying to restyle my Lyra's hair, she's drying right now Oh, and sleepyhead, I saw a Trixie brushable in Target the other day ~AJTheFilly~
SydneyGrey 32 January 9, 2013 Share January 9, 2013 I think the brushables are cute, but I'm a girl. Well, I should say ... I think the winged horses and earth ponies are cute. I don't like the unicorns' eyes, and their horns are too short and phallic. And they all look like some kind of deer-horse hybrids, but they're still cute. I prefer the tiny blind bag horses, but stopped buying them because I don't need 25 different color versions of the same rearing Apple Jack sculpt, ya know? I'm SO GLAD they've started to add more sculpts to that line, because they're adorable. Now they need to re-do the sculpts for the Mane Six and I'll be happy. I really loved the tiny version of Zecora that came in the 3-pack (in the blind bag size). She was beautifully done.
Lady Leopardess 393 January 14, 2013 Share January 14, 2013 Personally I really like the brushable ponies ,for a couple reasons. One they're much bigger than the blind bags. Two it gives you the chance to "do" something with the toy (style/brush it's hair) . I'm not so picky when it comes to show accurate hair and to me the hair looks much prettier when it's brushable. Not gonna lie though it probably came because my first every my little pony was when I was like 7-10 and it was brushable and I have kept it in pristine brushed condition since then. Fluttashy 325 January 18, 2013 Share January 18, 2013 I love my brushables as well hence I grew up with generations. At least the merchandise is affordable compared to fan made stuff. I agree fan made is better but just grateful hasbro makes their merchandise affordable.
