"Well it hasn't been too long." Carrick said, "Unless they're doing something they shouldn't be doing" Carrick joked. Carrick doubted that Starbolt and Blaze would do anything...physical. Carrick would imagined that it would end into a giant fight that Carrick would attempt to defuse.

"Alright" Hypno said as he grew silent. Dwelling in his own thoughts by himself. He sat there for a moment before he actually passed out into a half sleep. He could be awoken easily, but wasn't awake.

After being half asleep for some time from all the noise coming outside she stood up and went to the toilet to wash her face, after doing so she went outside of her room and saw a pony with a brown mane and scary eyes.

 

"I don't like the looks of this.." she said quietly as she walked down the stairs, gazing into the pony with her purple demonic eyes without him noticing.

 

She saw another pony as well standing at the corner of the room but after sleeping for a while she forgot his name. nopony noticed Daeva so she had to do something to get their attention. She stomped her hooves on the floor really hard it sort of cracked the floor slightly.

 

"I'm sorry about that. Anyway, would you mind introducing yourself to me? My name is Daeva." she said looking at the pony with the scary eyes.

 

'Wait, where did Blaze and Starbolt go?' she wondered.

Hypno was shaken up and out of his sleep, almost firing a blast of black magic as he did so. "Uh, well, i would be Hypno" he said uncomfortably. His fangs, eyes, yellow tongue and tuffed ears all visible.

"You don't look quite like a normal earth pony, what would you classify yourself as?" she asked Hypno, eager to know the answer.

 

Daeva was examining the pony, looking from his hooves all the way up to his name while she was waiting for an answer.

 

((OOC: My leg just went through a crisis so I had to go see the doctor and I didn't have access to internet during that time so I couldn't make any posts but now I'm back and I'll be catching up with the new ponies, I've already read all the previous posts and I am quite amazed how much roleplaying could occur within ten hours.))

"A Pegasus" he said showing off his wings. But dodging the question mostly. The feathers of his wings were darker colored, and this was the same with his ear tips.

"Tell me your secret and I'll tell mine, though we'll both find out soon enough." she told Hypno as she walked out the house to see where Starbolt and Blaze was, though without any effort at all she saw Blaze on the cloud and Starbolt talking to him.

 

Daeva flew up and sat near the cloud Blaze was laying on.

 

"What's going on, something wrong?" she asked him.

"I assume you met the Black Magic user down there. I dont know his name and I dont care to. He uses a forbidden type of magic, Black Magic, the same type of magic that was used to murder my father. I just wanted to be away from the others so I flew to this cloud. But then Starbolt showed up and I saw a fire off in the distance. Someone should go tell Carrick there is a campfire of in the forest on this mountain." Blaze explained

Hypno watched as she left the cabin. He closed his eyes once again and attempted to sleep. But before doing so. He looked through his bag, now knowing he was mostly alone. He searched for a few moments, then noticed what he was looking for wasn't there. "Buck" he cursed in his mind.

 

The smoke was now visible to Daeva. It was off into the distance, maybe a mile out.

"Black magic you say? I knew I felt something wrong with that pony the second I saw her, I felt a power within him.. Anyway, maybe we should check that place out before we told everypony else. I'd like to know first what we're dealing with before anypony else gets hurt." she suggested to Blaze.

Hypno looked troubled now. He started to double check the satchel to see if he had missed it, but it definitely wasn't there. And whatever he was looking for was clearly important to him. He closed up the bag and sighed, leaning back into the chair.

"Are you missing something, Hypno?" Carrick asked Hypno. The expression on his face could tell him that he missed something big. He wonder if he'll tell the truth or lie again. Whoever this pony is, he is hiding something. The question is...what?

"Black magic you say? I knew I felt something wrong with that pony the second I saw her" Daeva said

" Eheh, I think the black magic user is a Colt..." Blaze said " I guess we could go check it out." Blaze got up and stretched his entire wingspan and then lifted off flying toward the fire with Daeva following close behind him.

Hypno was so nervous and focused that he didn't even know Carrick was nearby. "No, it's... nothing." he said "I was seeing if i had anything to eat packed" he lied "....For tomorrow"

Carrick got tired of his lying. He shook his head, "It's not smart to lie to a detective." Carrick said, "from the expression on your face you're looking for something pretty important. I'm not here to judge you. I haven't yet. Just tell me."

 

((OOC: I feel like Carrick turning a bit into House. Just a bit, mind you.))

A camp started to come into sight for the two, and it looked rather strange.

 

"No i was just seeing if i had anything to eat" he said as he stuck to his story. "Alright fine, i was looking for my mothers necklace, she gave it to me when i was just a filly." he explained "It's a keepsake, i guess"

Daeva saw a small camp with bones scattered everywhere, a tent in the middle and a small chest inside as the shadow reflected on the surface of it. A few tables and chairs made out of bones and that's all.

 

"What do you think Blaze?" she asked.

The camp was rather broken down. Bones of animals were on tables made of bone. Everything seemed constructed from bone or wood. Weapons with bone tips were scattered around. There was one chest in the middle of the camp though.

Blaze descended into the camp and quickly saw that everything was made of bone. He shuddered, his MP wave sense was giving off a strange vibe "I dont like the feeling of this." He saw a chest. "Do you think we should open it?" Blaze asked Daeva.

"Family is important to everypony." Carrick replied, "Though my family and kicking." Carrick placed the fedora on the table. "This fedora was my father, he wasn't a detective. He just like wearing these things. I guess you can say it's something to remember him by while I go and do my cases." Carrick said.

 

"Try retracing your steps, do you remembered the last time you saw it?"

"Daeva and Blaze, they saw smoke they flew off to investigate." She told Carrick in a worried tone.

"I guess the last time i remember seeing it was back in the forest." he said as he started to feel even more like a liar now.

 

By the chest there was also a dagger, the type of bone it was made of seemed different from the rest. It was black colored. And whatever was in the chest was probably of equal importance.

 

Hypno looked drained as soon as Star said what she said. "I forgot to put out the fire" he thought

Carrick shook his head, "What did I just say about lying to a-"

 

"Daeva and Blaze, they saw smoke they flew off to investigate." Starbolt told Carrick in a worried tone.

 

"Looks like I have business to take care of." Carrick grabbed his fedora and place it back on his head, "We'll finished our conversation later." Carrick went with Starbolt to go see what this smoke is about.

Daeva went inside of the tent and heard Blaze asking him whether or not they should open it.

 

"I'll open it, I wouldn't want you hurt.." she said as she gave Blaze a sexy kiss and gently pushed him back a little if the chest was a trap.

 

"Here goes nothing.."

Starbolt noticed Hypno's worried expression. "Is something wrong? Did I interrupt something?" She asked concerned it was her fault.

She looked at Carrick and back at Hypno waiting for their answer.

'Something is bothering him that's for sure.' She thought.
