"Alright, I will." Snow said.Though she did trust him somewhat, her instincts have always told her to be vague against a new pony. Though at times her hot-head can forget that. When she was calm, she listen to her head. However his calm voice and demeanor did confuse her, his voice felt inviting. Like he wouldn't lie to her...

"Alright" he said with a smile. He waited for her to start her story quietly, and looked quite interested on what she had to say about it. He didn't exactly know what to think yet, seeing she had some sort of connection to a guy who seemed to be the general of some type of cult. But he would feel bad if he snubbed her for it, and that wouldn't exactly help his loneliness issues either.

'Maybe I should wait for Blaze to give me more advice before I proceed.' She thought as she sat next to Carrick.

"So.... What are you writing?" She asked Carrick.

Carrick looked at her, than back at his notes "I'm making plans for our next course of action. Twilight Sparkle. These past two ponies I've interrogated had a small line of error. They had flaws that can be used against them. Pride, fear, anger, regret,....however Twilight Sparkle is a harder case. She'll be using logic to fight against me in this battle of wits. I'm trying to formulate one." Carrick explained.

Blaze walked out of the cabin to take a look at starbolt's rune. Her rune crafting skill had improved considerably since the last time she made a rune. "Quite impressive." Blaze said "Now all you have to do is enter into a contract with your familiar by saying ' through the power of this contractual rune, I enter a partnership with thee'" Blaze said

"You say this while charging the rune."

'Oh please give me something good.' She thought as she readied herself to cast the summoning.

"I've been with the group Ice Star for about too many years to count. He got me out of the gutter that was my family and pulled me into something different. Something stronger...a being to create the weather...to change climate with powers no pony could imagined. To change the fate of ponies all together....there was a call, I was called in to take care of this filly. Ice Star had said that she is important to all of this...this world....his world...he wanted to keep her safe and hidden...so....he told me to hide her in a mage door and locked her in."

 

Snow's voice became low "This one of the few times I questions him. It's just a filly, why do we need to put her in a cabinet?...He didn't like that subordination. Let's just say...it wasn't pretty...however, he had his reasons....I know he does....he's Ice Star. He's all powerful. So...here I am. Tied up, broken down, unable to do magic because of a damn rope...and talking to you. I hope Ice Star does come....no, he will come" Snow started to lose her sanity once again.

The runic circle began to glow bright blue sending a pillar of light cascading into the sky, Blaze had to squint to prevent himself from being blinded by glare. "good now speak the contract agreement I told you about" Blaze said

Hypno started to feel bad now. And seeing she was practically forced to do this even though she seemed to not want to, even made him feel worse. "It's alright, i'm sure you'll be fine until your... special somepony comes then" he said comfortingly in a soothing voice.

Starbolt concentrated hard.

"Through the power of contractual rune, I enter a partnership with thee." Starbolt chanted as the rune glowed.

A massive pulse of bright light came from the rune before the light dissipated altogether. What was left in the center of the runic circle was what looked like a passed out pixie, no bigger than the size of a hummingbird. "Hmm... you managed to summon a Fae. They are proficiant at all types of magic, they also are great apothecaries. Able to create potions from herbs they find all around. Good job." Blaze said, proud of his pupil.

"A Fae." Starbolt said with an interested look on her face.

'This is amazing. It can even make potions!' She thought as she studied her new companion.

Starbolt approached it slowly unsure whether it was conscious or not.

Blaze read the look on Starbolt's face "All... well most all, familiars are passed out from dimensional warp magic, she just has summoning sickness that is all." Blaze explained. He remembered that the same thing happened when he summoned his phoenix.

The pulse of light that came from the rune shined through the gaps of the barricaded window on the right, she stood up and saw a creature summoned by either Starbolt or Blaze. She carefully moved the cabinet away as carefully as possible without causing any noise and putting it aside so she can open the door, she unlocked it slowly and quietly and walked outside to see Hypno and Snow having a conversation. Daeva quickly stood back a few steps and decided to go out through a different way, she saw a window at the end of the corridor and opened it without making any noise. She flew over to where the others summoned a familiar and told Blaze..

 

"Hypno and Snow seem to be friends with each other now.." she whispered.

Starbolt stood next to the Fae.

"I'll bring her inside. It's cold out here." She said as she picked the Fae up.

She was about to go inside when Daeva flew down with a worried look on her face.

"What's wrong?" She asked Daeva.

This did not really faze Blaze "Meh, I would not put it past him. Siding with the enemy. But I can not afford to jump to conclusions again. So just let it go for now" Blaze whispered back. "By the way, where is Dante?" Blaze asked Daeva.

"Dante is just sleeping in the living room where those two are talking right now, I suppose he won't be messing with it because it's quite powerful." she told Blaze.

 

Daeva was getting worried that Hypno is going to free Snow.

Carrick looked at the process of how a familiar is form. It is such a intruging process, Carrick thought to himself. Carrick applauded Starbolt than went back to his notes. His mind obviously into plan mode.

Starbolt asked Blaze who Daeva was whispering to.

"Is something wrong?" She asked with a concerned tone.

The Fae on her back began to stir.

"So when should we depart to the top of the mountain, seeing as how Daeva is now awake and all" Blaze asked Carrick.

Blaze realized that the longer they wait, the more of a chance there will be that Twilight will just leave. Blaze took out a couple of apples and levitated one to Daeva. He munched on one himself. "No nothing is wrong," Blaze told starbolt lying to her about what Daeva told him. He did not want to impede their process of moving up the mountain just because one loony decided to befriend another loony.

"Although i'm afraid i'm going to have to leave for a few minutes, i forgot something at my camp a few miles out. i'll return as soon as possible" he kept his soothing voice as he got up and headed for the door. He walked outside, passing the 3 ponies as he did so.

"Hey Blaze, where do you think Hypno is heading? Maybe he needs a few of those bloodbags of his that he stole from the hospital for survival." she whispered to Blaze.

'Something is wrong.' She could tell by the way Daeva whispered and how he answered.

The Fae started to sit up. 'Ugh.'

Starbolt heard it's thought. 'Are you okay?' She thought back hoping it could hear her.

Carrick closed his notepad, the conversation between Daeva, Starbolt, and Blaze had been closed out of his ears, He had more important matters to take care of. "Well, we still have Snow to worry about." Carrick said, "It's not like we can leave her like this, tied up and dead."

 

"The question is, how?"
