Quick dug through the bag, thinking, This... is my stuff... from before. There was some silver items (Including new goggles), a few candles, an inscent stick, liquid flame in a bottle, a jar of salt, and a package of chalk. Inside was a note, saying, Never forget what you can remember. He walked down the stairs and through the amulet at Blaze, "Put that on, you'll feel a little better," he says, walking outside. His cutiemark's new crossbow solidified into a very noticeable, silver color.

Blaze took the amulet, "This is my father's amulet. I don't know how you got your hoofs on it, but thank you." He said to Quick. He turned back to Carrick.

"Oh I know exactly what you said, Quick told me everything. What the hoof is it to you whether or not our relationship is love or lust? Hmm? Why don't you mind your P's and Q's instead of worrying about what a relationship is comprised of. I will admit that we have moved fast, but I love her for her, not just her body but her personality, she is outgoing when it comes to her friends. Sure she can be a bit hasty at times and sure she can take things a little far. But that is what makes her beautiful, not the color of her mane or the aesthetics of her body. Her mind is what makes her beautiful and I love her, not lust her. How could you be so heartless?" Blaze said as he exited the cabin in an angry fashion. He flew up on to a tree and sat up on a branch examining the amulet.

Quick looked out to the skies, flicking his tail as Blaze passed. So much has changed since the day I set out for the tablet. So much is different. I'm a race pony now, granted, not well known. But I have the knowledge to live in a forest by myself, to fight anything that crosses my path. To make a living as a Nighthunter. My father didn't want it for me. He was blessed with my memory loss, secretly proud of me for racing. I can see it now. But that's only part of who I am. I will always be a Shadowhunter. Nothing can change that now, he thought sadly. I should change objectives. Rainbow Dash is my current number one priority, it should be all of them. Apparently Twilight Sparkle is compromised, that'll make it hard later, but not impossible to deal with. We have the second best magic user in Equestria, and her Alicorn mentor. They are drained, but the amulet I gave Blaze should slowly replenish his MP. The infamous pirate that was his father, he wasn't as infamous to a Nighthunter. I recognised that as soon as I saw it. I have no idea what powers sent it to me, but if it can help Blaze, then I don't really care. Carrick is close to snapping, he's getting ready to split. The real question is weather I should follow him, or follow Blaze, he thinks, still gazing out at the sky. The crossbow, that's what my cutiemark would've been if I hadn't lost my memories. Now I have a very complex cutie mark. Complex as my situation. We are strongest together, but not if we're fighting. I don't know what to do anymore, I need guidance. I will wait and see what happens.

Thunder had been scouting out the area for any sign of Ice Star when he found a cave hidden near the peak of the mountain which was emanating a strange wave of heat. 'That's odd, what kind of cave has a working heater?' he thought as he entered the cave and saw a bright light shining at the end, as he flew in deeper he started getting way hotter. Reaching the end of the cave, he saw a deep hole and entered without thinking. "What in the hoof..." he muttered as he gazed at a stone alter with a pool of LAVA in the center.

Hypno took another sip from his drink. He hadn't really noticed the others, and then obviously haven't noticed him yet. "So, what are you planning on doing now?" he asked Snow

Carrick wrote some stuff down on his notepad. Ponies blinded by emotions. Then again I was blinded by it as well just recently. I'm not sure how I would react to that. Carrick sighed. To say this isn't annoying would be a lie, Carrick got out of the cabin and looked at top of the mountain. He buttoned down his trench coat, and place the fedora tipped down.

 

This is stupid, I better just go by myself. These ponies...Carrick went on and started walk back on the path once again.

 

"I dunno....I guess I'll just.....join you in whatever you're doing." Snow said, she really didn't know what she going to do. Snow just laid there, bored. She still believed in what Ice Star stands for, but she can't just stay here.

He sees Carrick leaving. Now's the time to make your decision. Not much of a decission, you're sworn to help ponies who need it, and Blaze already knows most of the lore necassary to survive in fights with the supernatural. Carrick wants to go alone, I'll have to follow him stealthily.

 

He quickly writes a note:

 

Starbolt, Carrick is going solo. If you want to see him soon, follow the signs. You should know them when you see them.

When Blaze attended college, he learned that all beings of the world possess some MP. Even if not all can use it. Magic Power is a sort of life force, every being emitted a MP Wave. So when Blaze first unlocked his Magic Power Wave Sense it was hard to not go insane. Blaze had such an extreme talent for MP Wave sense that the Waves overstimulated Blaze's senses. He eventually learned how to deal with it and live day to day with feeling every little MP wave.

Blaze was sitting on the tree looking over his father's amulet, he finally decided to wear it. Immediately when he donned the necklace from his neck he felt a surge of strength. interesting. He noticed Carrick's MP Waves dissipating from his range of sense. So Carrick is going to be like that eh?

Blaze got up and flew from cloud to cloud above Carrick's head following him but hiding in the process.

Quickly, who had happend to be cloud-hopping behind Carrick, groaned quietly and hoped towards him; "Blaze, go back. In order for me to be succesful in my oath, I need you with the others. Besides, Daeva's waiting for you, I got nopony waiting for me," he whispers, hopping after Carrick.

Carrick's detective senses were tingling. Most detectives know if they're being watch. Carrick continued to walk though, he'd knew it was probably Quick. Since he was the only pony had a conversation with when going solo. He read the notepad again...

"well I had been under the impression that Carrick was a detective not a judge" Blaze said angrily " If Carrick is really that angry about me calling him out for judging mine and Daeva's relationship, well than he can just leave"

Hypno gave a grin "Alright, sounds good." he was glad she was joining him now."Although, i might have to find out what's going on, seems like two ponies disappeared." he explained to her

She flew next to him and followed him making no effort to hide.

'Carrick is leaving.' She told Starbolt.

Carrick looked at Fae, he said nothing. Seems like it hard to disappear isn't it. Then again, it's pretty obvious. Where else would I go? Carrick shook his head. As he continued the path getting closer to his goal. At least to investigate...

She ran out the house and followed the direction of Fae. She followed the path not stopping.

Carrick was started to have to hike up the mountain, he still couldn't see the top from here. However the clouds were started to become visible this the higher he went. His breathing started to rise up as he continued to go up higher in altitude.

"Blaze, I am here to defend all ponies from creatures of the night. Please go back," he says, flying down and landing next to Carrick. "How long have you know I was following you?" he asks, flying and searching his bags.

"I've known for quite a while now. I may not have magic powers, but I have a sense when somepony is on my tail." Carrick said. Also, I'm pretty sure Starbolt might be coming as well. "I'm guessing you want to convince me that what I'm doing is a bad idea. I suggest you keep it to yourself. Blaze's become an emotion liability. Both of them have become one."

"I'm not here to turn you around. I'm here because a long time ago, in my initaition to what was then the Witch Hunters, I swore an oath to protect all the ponies from the night. You are a person, and the rest of them should have Blaze. Even now, he's probably more protection than me," he says, finding the goggles he was searching in his pack for and putting them on.

Snow didn't feel any problems, least of one she not know of. She doesn't consider praising Ice Star as a problem. She shook her head, "I feel perfectly fine." Snow said, obvious.

"Alright, good." he smiled, partially relieved. "Do you want to pack anything if we were to leave with the group on short notice?" he asked as he took another sip from his blood and fruit punch drink he made.

"Thank you for letting me," says Quick, "Any ideas what we're looking for?" That was easier than I though. I was expecting a hoof or two in the face. Not many people like having someone follow them, especially for their own protection.
