Shadow looked at the Commander disappointingly. He merely held up his hoof as a powerful black magic blast shot out and towards the Commander aiming to kill him. He then turned his head to the mare with a eerie grin. "Do you know why i haven't killed you yet?" He asked her.

He was hit by Shadow's blast and thrown out the nearby window leaving a smear of blood on the floor. He fell outside, dead.

She stepped back again, and put another barrier in between her and Shadow. She fired another bolt of magic towards Shadow hoping it would make him back off.

The blasts were still deflected easily by a dark colored shield that appeared whenever he was shot at. "Because every vampire knows that Mares taste better." He with a grin. "Normal vampires try to steal blood bags, but me? No no no, much too tiring, i just wait for someone to come around that has crossed me so that i can drink from them." He said as he started to walk towards the mare, shooting a blast to break the barrier. "Don't be scared, i'm not going to kill you, i'm going to keep you alive as long as i can actually"

"N-no Celestia will send more guards to stop you, y-you can't possibly think of defeating them all." She said in a panicked tone. She fired another bolt of magic at him and made a run for the door.

 

Fae continued to make potions from Fire's herbs. She made several healing potions already, but she wanted to make something special for Snow so she began experimenting on a magic potion.

"I just wiped your squad like a daily chore, so be it, send more." He said as he saw her run. He used his magic to slam the door shut and lock it. "I'm afraid there is no escape for you, you can never leave now." He teleported in front of the mare and used his magic to make a shockwave that should knock the pony to the ground. She was knocked down and hit a pillar, she was briefly dazed but quickly recovered. "Y-you won't get away with this, they will send a lot more than one squad next time." She said as she fired another magical blast toward Shadow. She crawled back another step.

The blast deflected again, afterwards Shadow teleported on top of the mare. "Doesn't it just suck..? All your life, fillyhood, school, guard training, leading to this point, as i stand on top of you, ready to end it. And you are still quite young too, like me." He grinned "How about you beg for your freedom for me? Humor me?"

She struggled and tried to push Shadow off her, she tried to reach for her dagger hidden in her uniform. "G-get off me." She said trying to buy time for her to pull out her dagger. She struggled and as she had difficulty reaching her dagger. She kicked him in the chest trying to get him to release his grip.

Shadow's body felt rather strong, as her kick felt as if her hoof hit a wall. "You have a horrible way of begging for your life" He said as he sank his fangs down into her neck.

 

Fire watched curiously as Fae made her potions "Bro that is wicked rad right there" He said looking at her work.

She struggled but pulled her knife free. She quickly tried to stab him in the chest as her other hoof tried to get him off from biting her neck. "P-please let go." She cried.

 

Fae turned as Fire commented on her work. She levitated a vial with dark grey liquid inside towards him offering to him.

"That's better, but still no dice" Shadow's voice said in the mare's head somehow. It was obviously a form of black magic telepathy. The invisible shield around Shadow re-appeared and blocked the knife, it seemed to deflect magic and weapons when it was up. He continued to drink from the mare's neck until she would pass out from blood loss.

 

"Woah, Bro, this is toats the coolest poition some fairy has ever given to me" Fire said

She continued to struggle trying to push him off. "P-please stop, I-I was j-just following orders. L-let me go, I w-won't tell anypony about y-you, p-please." She begged Shadow desperately.

 

Fae did a drinking motion and briefly turned invisible then turned visible again, trying to tell him what the potion did.

Shadow continued to drink until he knew the mare wouldn't be strong enough to use her magic or move that much from blood loss. He unlatched her fangs from her neck and walked off "Alright, you have humored me enough." He said as he grabbed the pony and drug her over to his seat with the books. He spawned a couch and placed the pony on top of it. He walked back to his chair and continued his book.

 

"Ohhhh! I getcha fairy gal." Fire said with a amazed look on his face as he took the potion and placed it in his satchel

Her vision was hazy from all the blood loss. She just lay there on the couch and stared at Shadow. She tried to say something but just a incoherent mumble came out.

 

Fae went back to trying to get the potion for Snow to work. She tried several kinds and combinations of herbs to no success yet.

Shadow glanced at the pony slightly when she mumbled. He almost felt sorry for her. "You are going to feel cold soon, very cold, almost as if death is ready to take you. But that will pass, this blanket will help" He said as he spawned a blanket on top of the pony. Shadow looked as almost as if he was depressed, shallow, missing something that he wanted.

The mare just stared at him with her blue eyes. She felt light headed. "W-why do you do this?" She managed to blurt out weakly.

 

Fae continued to experimenting on the potions.

 

Starbolt continued to study the cell. She seemed to feel the runes around her. She wondered if she could remove the runes.

"Do what? Defend my castle when your little group stormed it? Because it's my castle that's why, my chocolate factory" He said "But if you are talking about what i did to you personally, well, like everypony else, i need to eat. And you just looked so darn delicious compared to those ruffians you were with" He said before turning back to his book.

Carrick saw the look on Starbolt's face. She had the same look Carrick has when he was on invgestation. You look at every detail and tried to anaylze. Than from there, you tried to break it down to see if there is some sort of way to break through. A clue, maybe? Though from the looks of it, "Runes, isn't it?" Carrick thought aloud.

"I think that I can remove the runes, should I attempt it? If I mess up the same thing will happen to Blaze will happen to me." She told Carrick. Starbolt continued studying the runes. "What do you think Carrick? Do you want me to risk it?" Starbolt said, she knew the consequence of failing but if Carrick wanted her to do it she would.

Carrick thought about it, he saw the look on Blaze's face when he lost his powers. Something like that, changes a pony and though Blaze may of gotten his powers back. Who knows what would happened to Starbolt. Magic is like water to Unicorns, he shook his head, "That's a big risk. Though there might be a good payoff. How would react when you lose your powers?" he asked her.

"I-I'm not sure. I would probably be sad.... Magic is what I am....." She replied. "But if you think that I should I will do it. I trust you Carrick." She added. 'If I'm going to lose my magic, at least Carrick is here.' She thought knowing that losing her magic would be unbearable without Carrick.

Carrick thought about it long and hard. He wonder how must it be if he lost his ability to perceive stuff. His ability to talk his way out of stuff. All of these strengths he has done. What if it was all gone? How would he feel. He took a deep breath and shook his head, "No, I can't let you do it." He said.

Fire walked back into the room and slumped back into his chair. "So who exactly are we fighting this time around?" He asked.

 

"Well, that all depends on the time, most likely Ice Star, but my brother might show up from time to time every once in a while" He Explained to Fire.

 

 

(This is probably the best Ref i have for Shadow, it's rather outdated, due to the fact i've changed him over time but still works)

 

 

Shadow sighed as he noticed some blood on his coat. He sighed and threw it to the side and picked out a black wool pea coat to wear instead. He walked outside and and inside cleaning up the bodies, but left their stains of blood as he did so. He used his magic to incinerate them afterward. He walked back inside and continued his book, checking to the side to see if the mare would wake up every so often.

[Octavia's Bow 2,035]

Quickly looked around, and Den plopped on his head. He rolled his eyes and walked down what appered to be a hallway. He opend the door at the end of the hallway and saw two more levers, comically painted Red and Blue. "Hah, red or blue, eh?" He pulled the blue lever. (Someone else decide what happens to him)

Starbolt looked relieved. "Okay Carrick, it's your decision. I'll continue studying the runes." She replied to Carrick. She turned back to the runes and continued examining them.
