As if Quick won some sort of special prize confetti came down from the ceiling. Balloons started to fall out and than a opening formed inside between the levers. Luck had shined on Quick this time....as the next door seemed to have been for two other opening. What will Quick choose?

Carrick nodded, he closed his eyes yet again to relax once more. There wasn't much you can really do unless you're a unicorn or alicorn that wants to research the runes themselves. I wonder what would happened if I'm magic? He thought to himself.

Blaze exited the cabin and began trotting in the direction of Fillydelphia. He decided to ask Daeva a question. "So Daeva, do you remember when we were up on the mountain? I was asleep under a tree, and I had this feeling that you may have whispered something to me in my ear. I either could not comprehend because I was asleep, or I was busy worrying about other things that it didn't sink in. What was it that you whispered to me under that tree?" Blaze asked as they entered a forest now, leaves crunching under their hooves as the trotted along.

Shadow flipped the page of his book intently, just trying to finish it as fast as he could. Shadow noticed the mare wake up, he shut his book and turned his chair to face her. "I see you have woken up." He said simply as he stared at the pony with his odd, inverted dark eyes.

Quickly jumped as the party fares rained down on him. A little edgy, he walks through the initial doorway to find two more. "Ugh! What is it with this place and pairs?" He walks up to each and knocks but all he could hear from it was muted thuds; the doors were to thick. He sighed and picked the door on the right, cautiously.

Fire answered with what he always answers with "Rad" He was unsure what Fae was doing in his kitchen, or what she was making. But decided it was gonna be good.

 

Hypno turned to Snow "Were probably going to stay here a little bit longer, it seems Fae is busy, and Fire probably needs to gather his things too" He explained

Snow nodded, she sort of assumed that it would probably a good thing. They probably will be moving around to various places and to and one more final resting time would be beneficial to all of the ponies. She wasn't sure what Fae was doing in the kitchen. She really didn't care though, she was a familiar for Starbolt. They really didn't have much of a conversation. The only conversations she's had was really with Hypno. "That's fine, I can rest for a bit."

The mare felt a chill down her spine when Blood looked at her she back up to the farther side of the couch.

 

Fae continued to try making the potion. After several more experiments she made a magical restoration potion. Fae wasn't sure if it would work so she kept it to herself first.

"We most likely are going to have a long day getting to know each other now aren't we?" Shadow said with a sight sigh as he kept his attention to his book.

 

"Swell. Fire has beds upstairs if you need to sleep, or you can just stay at the couch, whatever suits your fancy." Hypno explained.

 

Fire stood there thinking for a few moments. He didn't exactly know how to make himself act. Hypno and Snow seemed much more upper class compared to him obviously. And normally he would just play games and entertain himself with events all day.

She remained silent and continued to stare at Shadow. She wondered why Celestia would send them they were obviously outmatched by this pony. All her squad members lost their lives, and she probably will lose her own.....

 

Starbolt continued to look for a pattern in the complex rune markings in the cell, she checked for any hidden runes and such.

"Your parents ever tell you not to stare at somepony?" Shadow grumbled after a few seconds, then asked "Were you even told who you were sent to attack? Were you even told that you would be sent to fight the great former military general Shadow?" He said rather smugly with fake enthusiasm. "...Better recognize"

"We were told to arrest a grey unicorn in this place. Celestia knows.... Why did she send us to die...." She sobbed, she wondered if this pony could be reasoned with. "P-please j-just let me go. I-I won't tell anypony." She told Shadow.

 

Fae flew next to Hypno and showed him the potion. Hypno should be able to recognize what the potion did since he had seen one of these before. Fae pointed to Snow and back to the potion.

Shadow's smug tone slightly dissipated when he noticed her sobbing. "As i have said, i'm using you as a constant food source for when i get hungry. And i get... lonely here alone" He mumbled.

 

Hypno noticed when the potion was, he used his telepathy to ask Are you sure about that? He asked Fae mentally so Snow wouldn't hear. It wasn't that he didn't entirely trust Snow, but he was still unsure about what could start up around the others.

Fae shrugged, she only showed Hypno so she could get his opinion. She ultimately let Hypno decide whether or not they should give it to Snow. She passed the potion to Hypno. She then sat down on one of the tables next to Hypno.

 

She just sat there on the couch. "A-are you the only one of your kind.... To drink the blood of another pony?" She asked Shadow.

 

(OOC Need a name for the mare.)

"Of course not, but the others don't like me much due to my attitude." Shadow said as he flipped a page with his magic.

 

Hypno stared at the potion, he decided he should give it to her when he had the chance. If she had her magic, she could easily help him in a fight if it came to that. He just hoped that nothing bad would come out of this.

"O-others like you...... W-what's your n-name?" She asked Shadow. Looked around the place to see the old grey pillars and the old grey floor of the cathedral. She could make out old smears of brown and red. She realized this was dried blood. The sight of the blood made her even more nervous.

 

Starbolt began seeing a pattern in the runes she was studying.

 

Fae looked at Snow. She wondered if she could trust this mare.

"Like i've said, Shadow" He said flipping a page. "Shadow is just what i call myself though, my real name i haven't mentioned in quite a long time. And by my guess is everpony has already forgotten who i used to be anyways." He explained as he flipped yet another page.

(OOC Fine you win Hypno Sapphire Shine it is. Changing her font color to match her.)

 

"I-I'm Sapphire Shine...." She said nervously. She tried to stand she had difficulty but she managed. "W-what are you reading?" She asked Shadow. She tried to look for her knife. She saw the spear of one of her squad members in the corner of the room. She took a mental note of this, she might need it later.

 

Several more guards sent by Celestia approached the cathedral....... They had their orders, to kill a highly dangerous pony and to arrest the group before them for betrayal......

"Lovely name" Shadow commented before glancing at her after she asked her question. "Book about black magic, it's kind of my talent now or something." He said as he flipped a page. He sensed something coming towards the cathedral again, but he decided it would be just as easy.

"Black Magic? What is that?" She asked Shadow. She saw a pegasus fly by a window, she saw the silhouette of a spear. She began to inch towards the spear in the corner of the room.

 

The group of royal guards surrounded the cathedral. They readied their spears, and several of the pegasi waited outside the upper windows of the cathedral.

Shadow was too interested in his book to pay attention, but kept his guard up for any physical attacks that would come at him anytime soon. He didn't notice Sapphire get closer to the spear as he read. He just slightly whistled and turned to page calmly as he read the book.

Sapphire reached the spear just as the guards made their move. She picked up the spear as the pegasi started to break through the windows.

She started to run towards Shadow to attack him when one of the pegasi disarmed her and knocked her down. Before she knew it there were three spears pointed at her face. "W-what!" She said surprised.

 

The guards flooded into the cathedral three of the pegasi went to apprehend Sapphire while the rest charged towards Shadow spears and magic at the ready.

 

"You are under arrest for treason. We are to use lethal force if you resist." One of the pegasi said to Sapphire.

Shadow gave a unamused look as he closed his book "Seems like your rescue didn't go out like you had planned." He said with a slight grin as he fired a black magical bolt at one of the spear ponies. He tried to analyze them all, but just realized that there were a lot.

The guards were unfazed by Shadow's attacks. Several of the guards started casting magic while the rest all went up close for spear attacks. They stabbed savagely and rapidly.

 

Sapphire closed her eyes and overclocked an illumination spell. The effect stunned and blinded the three ponies. She quickly levitated her spear and incapacitated all three of them.

Shadow took a small cut to his side and grunted before his shield came up and started to block the attacks. He dashed backwards to get out of range and sent a concentrated explosive bolt towards one of the ponies that should be able to kill and explode on contact with him.

Two more guards broke off and engaged Sapphire as they noticed her attacking them.

 

Sapphire blocked their attacks and fought back with her spear. She disarmed and knocked out one guard and fired magic at the other.

 

The rest of the guards continued to attack Shadow.
