Blaze acted too hasty, he did not even realize the pony was gone by the time he casted the double S class spell. Phoenix resolve. He released the spell it sent out a wave of MP that traveled through every pony in the caves body, overloading their brain making them fall unconscious. This was a SS class spell simply because no magic or magic wards could prevent it, making it so any pony in the immediate vicinity would fall unconscious. Blaze felt the powerful magic wave disappear so he walked inside the cave. He did not realize that he had just triggered a trap.

Quick collapsed, his mind shutting down. His last thought was, That cowardly son of a howrse decided to finish the job. his hooves splayed outward, smudging the circle around him, his tail twitched, and the insent stick fell out right under his nose.

A giant wave of energy flowed through Carrick. He didn't know what happened, but in an instant. He collapsed on the floor. What happened, his last thought as he fell unconscious.

"I-i think it's too late," Snow said, her headache slowly gave away. "He left...whatever that pony was suppose to do. He finished it." Snow felt empathy for the ponies up there. Even if they were the ones that took her magic away. He was a darker being. A being who took away every part of you that made you enjoy life. Sight, Hearing, Touch, Smell, Taste, and even magic...

Magic always has an ability to regenerate. It's like blood inside your body. Your body will produce the blood so it can survive. It does so as well with magic. Magic flowed right into the horn of an unicorn or alicorn. However, magic is produced all over the ponies body. So there is a connection between the skull and horn so the magic can be transfer and used. However if the connection is cut. Magic is expelled everywhere. Though magic can still be used, it becomes weaker since the transfer is being expelled at other places of the body and isn't fully directed to the horn. If completely cut, the horn is consider useless. However it isn't easy to do something like that magically and physically. Magic-users have a defensive mechanism for the connection between the horn and the skull. It would take a tremendous amount of magic to do such a thing. As well as if using physical energy.

 

However this spell used half of my magic power. That should be enough thanks to Ice-Star efforts in draining his magic power in the first place. It should be able to at least cut the connection on him. There would be no way of fixing it either. There is no plausible way of opening the head without a high chance of death and opening the horn itself it would deemed it useless. Since the magic would expel everywhere if the horn gets out of the external shell of the horn. The nerves wouldn't get any of the magic and would die in an instant. What a pity...he could of been a great general....

A giant red runic circle glowed all around Blaze. Slowly a magic power slowly crept inside the skull of Blaze. Blaze's magic had tried to push the magic outside of skull, but it was drained already from the spell he did. Slowly the magic formed into a small blade as it slowly went closer and closer to the connection in Blaze's skull and horn. It slowly made a cut in the connection before the magic expelled and blasted the spell away.....

A runic trap circle was triggered by Blaze. He instantly felt a sharp pain in his horn. He knew exactly what had happened and instantly used his remaining MP to dispell the spell but it was too late. There was a small laceration inside Blazes horn, and he could feel his MP weaken. He decided not to dwell on that for now, he needed to find the pony who did this. Blaze searched but noticed that the only ponies in there were from Carricks group. Blaze fell into despair there was a corner in the cave and he walked over to it and sat down. His expression was of shame and sadness. He knew the ponies should wake at any second. It was dark but no matter how hard Blaze tried he could not use a light spell. His horn would not cooperate. His sadness became even greater.

Carrick eyes opened. He shook his head, as he heard the movement of his hooves as he got up. He turned to the end of the cave. The wall that was once there must of been gone, Carrick could see a small light at the entrance of the cave. Oh glorious light, I've missed you. Carrick eyes slowly adjusted to the darkness as he was able to see Blaze.

 

His face, sadness and shame. A look he hasn't seen on Blaze in a while. He didn't know what happened to him, but it must of been something terrible. He asked, "Blaze....are you okay?"

"Just wait back at the cabin for a bit, i should be back in a jiffy" He said with a chuckled as he flew off towards the cave. He reached the opening and walked inside.

"H-he... he got away.." Blaze murmured, he could barely bring himself to talk at this point. His entire life's work was out the window in a matter of seconds. The case they had been working on for a week or two went out the window, and he let down those who depended on him. There were no tears in Blaze's eyes, he could not cry, it was as if his tear ducts were clogged.

Thunder trotted up to the other ponies in golden armor crackling with electricity. "You aren't gonna believe what I found in this mountain people!" He yelled excitedly. "I jumped through LAVA" he continued to gush about how he found the secret cave and the golden rock.

"Damn..." Carrick gritted his teeth as he stomped his hooves. "It's excepted...that pony...overpowered us." Carrick couldn't tell if it would of ended differently if the whole group came with him. He didn't care, this case...might of just ended. The only thing Carrick remembered was the pony taking something from his pocket. Carrick checked his pocket. Hmm, I don't have that vile....so they wanted the vile? What would they want with that vile? No answers popped in his head.

 

Thunder came in as he started gloating about a golden rock. "That's nice, Thunder, but right now I don't care." Carrick said annoyed. He turned to Blaze, his emotions in full show. There was something else that happened to him...what was it. "Did something else happen Blaze?"

Hypno walked into the cave, looking around as he did so. After a few seconds he started to go deeper into it. He kept on walking, hoping he could find the group of ponies soon, and that nothing bad had happened yet.

"There- your-" Blaze stopped himself and tried to find the right words for what had happened "You know how you all passed out? That was my-" Blaze stopped himself again. "I felt the power of a SS class mage, and charged up one of the only SS class spells I know, it is called Phoenix resolve and was supposed to make the pony in the cave pass out along with you. But he had put a trap up and teleported away. I just- I just wanted to help" Blaze said sorrowfully.

While Thunder was busy talking he finally got around to noticing the armor he was wearing. "Holy sweet mother bucker," he said as he started inspecting it more closely. "Is this stuff normal?" He asked bewildered about how it came to be on him.

Carrick said nothing. Carrick tried to think about this rationally. What would of happened if we stayed there? If Blaze didn't come in and tried a attempt to save us. Carrick remembered what happened with Daeva. Where he came in and did a suicide mission to save a pony who he really didn't know. Carrick sighed, "Don't worry about it Blaze. You did your best. It might of ended even worst if you didn't come in and did what you did. That pony...he wasn't normal...he's beyond any kind of level I've ever seen. For all I know...we would of become vegetable if you didn't come. "

Her side was bruised and she had a bad headache.

She saw Carrick next to Blaze, she walked towards them.

"What happened Carrick?" She asked him unaware of Blaze's current predicament.

Fae was more affected by Blaze's spell than anypony else.

She lay on the floor conscious but unable to get up.

"But- but- that is not all... the trap I mentioned" Blaze's tone was lower than a snails belly "It partially severed the nerve connections inside my horn- I- I cant use magic anymore" As Blaze said this one tear finally came to his eye.

Starbolt looked at Blaze, she heard what he said but couldn't comprehend it.

"H-how t-they can't just do that. There must be a way to heal you." She said to Blaze.

Starbolt stood there speechless.

'If they took my magic away what will I be?' She thought knowing that if they took her magic she would be nothing.

"Ah yes, the troubles of mortal ponies, so fragile sometimes." Hypno muttered to himself looking at Blaze. A bit stunned at the fact a Alicorn lost his magic. He looked over to Star, unsure if the same happened to her too.

Carrick's anger against Blaze seemed to have washed away. Carrick wasn't heartless enough to kick him down like this. Not only did he saved Carrick and the others. He sacrifice his magic to do it. It's like if Carrick sacrifice his detective skills. Carrick sat down next to him, "I'm sorry." He said softly.

Starbolt ignored her headache.

"Blaze...." She couldn't say anything that would cheer him up.

She just sat next to him trying to comfort him.

Fae's vision was all murky from all the magic displaced in a short period of time.

She was able to get up and she flew next to Starbolt.

"It was my fault... if only I had realized he was gone before releasing that spell. If I had just used my MP wave sense to-" Blaze stopped, during all of the commotion he did not realize that not only was he magicless but he no longer had MP wave sense.
