Gearbox's new(ish) title releases September 18 (US) and September 21 (UK). It is filled with vibrant colors and many, many, many different guns. It is an open-world FPSRPG, and it's colorful-wasteland setting gives it a unique and satisfying appeal. It has a wonderful, crude, and often sadistic sense of humor that is very antagonizing to the offended masses. That, in itself, is worth some praise. The previous game, Borderlands, struck all the right chords a game needs to fit snugly in any gamer's library. Hell, enough with the gushing. This game is going to be a watershed moment, (for me, that is and I can't wait to get my grubby little hands on the masterpiece that is undoubtedly Borderlands 2. Feel free to leave your views, opinions, facts, news, and other junk about the game in this thread. Regardless of where you might stand with FPS games, this is definitely one deserving of a spot on any gamer's radar.

I recently finished Borderlands 1... Borderlands 2 is going to be so much awesome. Seriously, just how awesome is it to dual wield two rocket launchers ? Very awesome, I tell ya ! :DD

The marketing campaign for this game is... interesting, to say the least. The random humor of the game itself is so outlandish and crude that you can't help but smile when you pop a midget's leg off. I'm really looking forward to Borderlands 2 -- got the pre-order down pat. The unique Gearbox guns look quite nice, although I know there are hundreds of thousands more guns -- probably better -- to choose from. I'm going to roll with Axton my first playthrough, seeing as Roland was my original badass in Borderlands. You gotta love that turret when you're soloing campaign. I'm getting the game for PS3 (I already own Borderlands for PS3 too, if you want to play for a bit) and anyone who wants to go through it with me can add iBlarrg.

I bought the GoTY edition for $20 at my local Gamestop -- the level cap increases with General Knoxx's DLC pack, I think. Went from 50-51(?) to 69. Oh Borderlands, your subtle humor never ceases to amuse me. x3

 

The most bang for your buck is definitely General Knoxx's Secret Armory -- it's got alllll the goodies a true vault hunter would ever need... plus a bit more. Not to mention the badass invinciboss included in the content. Fun times are sure to ensue if you can get a group of four friends to endeavour with you into the dark, murky lair of Crawmerax the Invincible. (It's actually a mountain arena -- hot damn!)

I wasn't a big fan of the first Borderlands.

Getting Loot and such doesn't do much for me, especially with the first games nonexistent story.

 

However the second game seems to be fixing a lot of the wrongs I felt about the first game.

While im still not exactly hyped, a hopefully it happens vita version defeinetly helps.

I remember that. Never tried it myself, but that's cause I just use my old-school modded guns and shield when I just wanna blow through it real fast for guns.

Not on PC. That's what I don't understand. A first person game that won't be released for PC is a huge fail IMO. At least when it has a prequel which was most played on PC if I understood correctly.

Hmm... I'm not sure where you got that info from and if they changed it but it is defiantly on PC. it's been on steam for pre-order for a while now. I remember playing the first one with my friend and it was fun but it kinda got boring after a while and I didn't really feel like playing it by my self.

Looking forward to the sequel and so is my friends because I saw him pre-order it on steam. Hopefully we get a chance to play together if he doesn't start playing by himself again

I just hope they have changed that spawn system from part1. I would have enjoyed the game a lot more if it was a bit slower and if I wouldn't had to kill the same enemies everytime I re-entered a location.

I'm hoping playing single player on borderlands 2 will be more fun than it was playing solo on BL1, i bought the game when it first came out but hated it, then a friend got it and once we started playing together it made it so much more entertaining for both of us
