Marijuana, would the Mane Six smoke it?

I don't think any pony would at all, unless medicinal usage was the only viable way to help. Marijuana makes people slow, not very active, and want to eat a lot. I can't see any of the mane six, nor any other pony's going out of their way to do that to themselves.

This. I've mentioned several times across the board in all kinds of topics, that le pony world is much more mature and accomplished than ours, what with no wars, no people hating each other...

 

We're talking about the Equestria? The country whose population is about 1/3 descended from a selfproclaimed warrior race, posseses a variety of armor and weapons, including blackpowder, and is constantly beset by a variety of monsters?

I could see Pinkie doing it honestly, but really I feel like she's one of those ponies that is "high on life."

 

I would honestly think that the main candidates for marijuana use are Fluttershy and Twilight. Fluttershy might use it to self-medicate her anxiety issues, just to calm down a bit and chill. I think Twilight would be one of those really functional potheads who smoke for inspiration or smoke before setting to work. I can just picture this: *Twilight hits the bong* *speaking while gradually letting puffs of smoke out of her mouth* "It's re-shelving day... man... re-shelving"

While I am mainly against the use of weed, and can't really imagine the Mane 6 as ponies who would even try it out of curiosity, imagining what they would be like while baked is certainly an amusing thought at the very least.

Besides, Rainbow Dash probably would be more involved in steroids. Pinkie would be more likely to be an alcoholic or a speed user, and Rarity would be too classy for pot. Tobacco would be more her thing.

I would say that Rainbow would be the only pony to actually use it. Pinkie is too hyper and into partying. She's more of a cocaine gal. AJ probably has more conservative values like hard work and southern lady-like qualities (note the way she always crosses one hoof over the other) and probably thinks that marijuana use would not be conducive to those. Rarity would consider it classless. Twilight would consider it a silly distraction from her studies on magic and friendship. Fluttershy would more tan likely be too timid to even try it.

I would say pinkie pie may actually WANT to smoke a bowl sometimes, but that's just my opinion. People who I've seen try marijuana don't seem addicted, as they only do it at parties (which is once every one-two weeks typically). The point being, it almost fits her personality that she would try some drug (not to mention marijuana might calm her down a bit ).

Certainly less wars than us :3 And wars of which that aren't started for pointless reasons. Again, they're a more mature race. A race that doesn't need drugs in order to enjoy everything about life, or to use as a recreational activity, at least in my mind.

I think of Twilight. Sure she is intelligent and all, but I think she'd try it and maybe use it to relax from her studies. She seems to have a lot of stress and she went crazy because of it in Lesson Zero.

I think AJ would be the pony who feels responsible for the others and tries to prevent any addiction.

Pinkie Pie - Pot is too soft core for the party gal. I see her as more of a cocaine, ecstasy, alcohol kind of girl.

Rarity - is too elegant for pot, she'd be more into vodka and a chain cigarette smoker.

Fluttershy - is too shy to actually get into using drugs, but if offered she probably would to not be socially exiled.

Rainbowdash - she strikes me as a steroids, pcp kind of girl. (Since she's so reckless).

But you're missing the point. Is there a chance it could harm you? Of course, just like darn near everything on this Earth. Driving a car is dangerous. Walking up and down stairs is dangerous. Snow skiing is dangerous, flying in a plane is dangerous... But we don't make these things illegal or (I hope not, anyway) tell kids lies about these things so as to perhaps coax them away from them.

 

The entire point is, the dangers of smoking marijuana are highly over-exaggerated, as to make it appear very dangerous, when there's really no more chance of danger in using it then there is in leaving your house and going to work.

 

It would never happen, and in all honesty really probably shouldn't, but an episode of MLP dealing with such a situation (I have no clue how they could make it child-friendly) and having the actual facts come out instead of the propaganda and lies our governments and media spurt out to this target audience, would be huge for several reasons, not the least of which it would mean someone, somewhere in power finally decided to take a step in the right direction.

I have perfectly mentally stable friends who smoke it for the buzz it gives. I'm not here to get into a marijuana legality argument, but the people saying they wouldn't do it because it's dangerous are stupid. So is eating a ton of sugar, or flying at top speeds in a loop.

Nicotine and tar is what hurts you in cigarettes, Marijuana has THC. That study seems a bit ridiculous, and no one smokes 3 blunts a day, most mild smokers smoke a few times a week.
