  1. Sources say "yes". Having said that, I should point out that actually, I really like Starlight and hope she does appear in the movie. I just also happen to like irony, too.
  2. Note: Starlight died on the way back to her home Planet
  3. Hell hath no furry like a brony scorned.
  4. Three 22-minute "specials" sound more like three 22-minute pilot episodes to me.
  5. I don't care what the people say... I'll Take All The Pony I Can Get! #Pony4LIFE
  6. "Stranger Than Fan Fiction" is 100% pure AWESOME in addition to being 20% COOLER by virtue of being a Rainbow Dash (aka Best Pony) episode. Everything not acknowledging these painfully obvious facts is just filler.
  7. The Royal Scam It doesn't matter who's "fit". Princess Celestia is the absolute monarch of Equestria and rules with an iron hoof. Any attempt to replace her will be dealt with in the most ruthless manner possible, potentially including banishment to the moon for a thousand years. Don't think she wouldn't do it again, because she totally would. Just try her. And don't even think about making her call on her alicorn posse to put the smack down, because they be gettin' all up in your business yo. Meanwhile, as long as Princess Luna doesn't rock the boat, she gets to rake in all that sweet princess pay in exchange for sleeping all day and spying on ponies' dreams. Nice work if you can get it, and good luck trying to talk her out of a cushy gig like that. So the question is moot, although I did take the liberty of informing the Royal Guard about this seditious little discussion as a precaution. Let's just say when "Sunbutt" finds out you you've been talking trash about her, I suggest dressing for cold temperatures and low gravity.
  8. Why do people like Changelings? Maybe it's a side effect of movies like Antz and A Bug's Life that anthropomorphized insects, made them "cuter" and moved appreciation for them beyond the previously niche domain of entomophiles. Or maybe it's because they can change form and mimic others, which is an extremely powerful ability which opens up all sorts of creative and imaginary possibilities. Whatever the case, I know if I was a Changeling, I would want to look like just about anything else.
  9. The Running Of The Leaves Another staff departure may be a sign of the Pony End Times, but the ability to survive major personnel changes is one of the tests of a strong franchise. Some very important people have already left, and more are sure to leave, but they have also left behind some very talented people to replace them. I understand and share concerns about the show's future. After all, Magical Mystery Cure was written as and intended to be the last episode of the series way back in Season Three, so worries about the possibility of Pony being a 65-Episode Cartoon were not only well-founded, but in that sense we're already on borrowed time. Thankfully, Hasbro ultimately decided to continue the show, and it seems to figure prominently in their plans to grow their brands as media properties and support them with improved content production infrastructure. That, in turn, may itself lead to some major shakeups in terms of the how and where production takes place, who produces it, what is actually produced, the look and feel of the show, or even whether they stick with Friendship is Magic, focus instead on Equestria Girls or even go in some entirely new direction. I think FiM is much too fat a golden goose to slaughter, but I also don't know what the "suits" at Hasbro know. They have the numbers, do have a business to run, and they've already decided to pull the plug at least once, so there are no guarantees. Thus what we're left with are cause for concern, few facts, a lot of uncertainty and little more than speculation to fill the gaps. In other words, situation normal.
  10. Heaven's rocking a little harder tonight. Respect.
  11. Biological sex is way better than the alternatives. So, um, sure.
  12. - My favorite episode of the entire series is Magical Mystery Cure. - I love Dave Polsky's and Merriwether Williams' episodes. All of them. - I can't wait for the next Equestria Girls movie. - I liked Countess Coluratura better with razzle-dazzle, glitz and glam. And Hot Ponies. And lasers. Lots and lots of lasers. - Rainbow Dash IS Best Pony. And I remember when, back in the day, that wasn't a controversial thing to say.
  13. The Cutie Mark Crusaders only got their marks when they decided to help others with their cutie marks, and now we won't get ours unless we do the same. I like how poetic that is.
  14. Try to imagine all life as you know it stopping instantaneously and every molecule in your body exploding at the speed of light. Yeah, it would be like that, so Rainbow has to hold back.
  15. According to a tweet posted on Equestria Daily Jim Miller invited William Shatner to be a guest voice on Friendship is Magic. If William Shatner were to appear, what kind of character do you think he should portray, and what do you think the show should be about?
  16. The Final Solution I just saw this article on Equestria Daily today: M.A. Larson Discusses Magical Mystery Cure It confirmed what I had long suspected, but never really knew for sure: that Magical Mystery Cure was written to be the last episode of Friendship is Magic. Goodbye. Farewell. So long, and thanks for all the hay. The end. I originally expressed my suspicions and somewhat emotional reaction to them over in the alicorn princess thread, in this post: The Happiest Ending... When I first saw Magical Mystery Cure, I strongly felt that it was intended to be the last episode of the series, but it always bugged me that I didn't know for sure. Now I do, and I thought I should mention it for the benefit of anyone else who shared that feeling and may have missed "the reveal" in this thread or others on the subject. Thanks, M.A. Larson! This time for letting us know that yes, Magical Mystery Cure was truly intended to be the final episode of Friendship is Magic. Thank goodness Hasbro changed their minds!
  17. It's A Wrap! Wait... the magic begins in 2017? That implies no magic until 2017. How will we do without our magic? Help the earth pony way? We want to belong so we must do our best today, do our best today...
